My dad is doing great, it was a little adjustment at first but going good now. We love the facility. It is bright and airy and there is more for them to do. They were my favorite when touring. I like that they can go outside and walk in the garden when he wants. They also have a mini golf course and he loves golf. The staff answer any calls and texts. He is starting to get involved with the activities and they sent us some picture of him being involved. He is eating all of the meals and it looks good and pretty healthy.

Lower ratings only due to "no place is perfect" and sometimes when you make a request it may take an extra minute for stuff to be taken care of. Not sure of reason, When you "renew" your living quarter contract they forget that "the extra" $ increase is sometimes a huge demand on the tenant and family on a social security budget.

Even though our loved one has only been there for a short while, the staff have really gotten to know her. Every time our family comes to visit they know us by name, they recognize our face and always greet us with a smile. The staff have no problem keeping us up to date with anything regarding our loved one. We did have a medical concern about a month in and the staff were very quick to notify us and help us with the situation The showed they have swift and quick response time and it says to us they were always paying attention to our loved one even during the night shifts

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is an establishment that offers lodging to two or more seniors who have no family ties to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its occupants with 24-hour care by registered nurses. These caregivers offer healthcare services for people who cannot care for themselves.

This type of facility is a familiar and easy living choice for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will routinely allow persons 55 and older (a rarity in the realm of senior care). As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to have your representative notified about your care, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, be free from abuse and neglect, and be free from discrimination. A significant portion of nursing home residents are individuals who require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, have mental or physical disabilities, experience difficulty seeing and hearing, or have incontinence issues. Nursing homes are required to provide room and bed maintenance services, emergency dental services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), and pharmaceutical services to residents. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include cosmetic and grooming items, flowers and plants, and personal reading materials. Many occupants of nursing homes might have behavioral difficulties, which can consist of resisting assistance, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander.
