Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township in Coraopolis, PA

Value is a tough one. Tapestry is costly but it is nice. As you know, the level of care determines the monthly cost. My mother likes it very much. The food choices and quality could be better, she tells me. The facility is bright & airy. The activities are many. The staff is very kind, willing to help.

[name removed] passed away last March. They were very caring and took great care of her. I feel that the close attention they give to their residents was amazing. One of the caretakers there treated mom as his own. Called her mama.

The food is good. Help with showers due my disabilities is great. Place is warm in winter, cool in summer. Best is how nice the owners and their employee daughters are to all of us.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home facility offers residence to at least two seniors who have no family relation to the administrator. This type of facility provides its occupants with care administered by on-site nurses. These caregivers offer specialized care for seniors who cannot take care of their own needs.

This type of facility is a familiar and comfy care option for persons 65 years and above, however nursing homes will routinely allow access to persons 55 and older rarely heard of in senior care regarding other care types.Types of amenities and servicesprovided at nursing homes can include wound care for pressure sores or a surgical wound, 24-hour emergency care, care coordination and case management, and social and recreational activities. Many residents of nursing homes are persons with behavioral troubles, which can consist of resisting assistance, a tendency to wander, or verbal outbursts. A large portion of nursing home occupants are seniors who have mental or physical disabilities, have incontinence issues, experience difficulty seeing and hearing, or require assistance with daily tasks such as walking. The most common mental condition experienced by nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their and familiarity with their surroundings, memory recall, and decision making abilities. Nursing homes are required to provide dietary services, routine personal hygiene items, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), and room and bed maintenance services to residents.
