My mom just moved in here a couple of weeks ago. I'm impressed with the time the management took to make moms move in process fun and relaxing. When a administrator rolls up her sleeves and helps unpack moms things and takes the time everyday to check on mom . That shows they care. Mom loves the staff they've become her 2nd family :)

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is an establishment that houses at least two individuals who have no familial relation to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its occupants with around-the-clock care administered by on-site nurses. These nurses offer health related services for people who are unable to care for their own needs.

This type of facility is a familiar and comfortable care alternative for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually accept individuals 55 and greater which is uncommon for other senior care types. The most frequent mental disease experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their decision making capacities, memory function, and and familiarity with their surroundings. A significant amount of inhabitants are bachelors or widows who have circles of support, and about 50% of nursing home residents are over 85 years old. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include personal clothing, flowers and plants, and personal comfort items. Nursing homes are required to provide dietary services, nursing and related services, emergency dental services, and routine personal hygiene items to residents. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to participate in activities, get proper medical care, be treated with respect, and be free from abuse and neglect.
