When my father was diagnosed with dementia and refused to do physical therapy, we were uncertain about how to proceed. He became bedridden and could not stay in his home alone but without Medicaid, we faced the challenge of covering the costs of a facility out of pocket. During my search for care options, I found a Place For Mom through a Google search. They were incredibly helpful, providing me with a list of care facilities within our budget. I was pleasantly surprised to see Heritage Care on the list, as it is located just a two-minute drive from our home. We did not even know it was an option. Since then, they have provided excellent care for my father, and I am grateful for their responsiveness to any questions or concerns I’ve had. Knowing he is somewhere safe and being cared for has made this difficult situation a little easier.

If I were needing to go to a care facility I've already told my family, that's where I want to go. Friendly, caring, wonderful folks. Is it the newest, no. Is it the cleanest, probably not. But a care home that really cares is where I want to be. Also, we loved the "almost mountain" feeling with the foliage and trees outside. Thank you so much for helping us find Heritage Care. My loved one didn't eat much food or do any activities, so I can't rate that, but for them, it was an awesome value.

My sister loves people, and wants someone to be her mother, rather than "independent living". This place satisfies both the social and the care needs. She is thriving here. Very personal care. They worked with me to determine the best way to make her happy, rather expect her to conform. As a result, my sister has never been happier!

I would recommend them without reservation. When she gave the tour, she showed us behind every door. She has employees that has worked there 20 years. While we were interviewing, when a resident approached, she stopped and addressed what they needed without hesitation.

I liked the people working there. It was more of a family feeling I sensed from them.I have already recommended the community to as friend for her mother in law. I told her it was not fancy, but just felt best for our family member.

I was searching with no luck and when I called[name removed] she said yes immediately. It was in ten minutes of where I live. I feel my loved one got adequate care. He can care for all his personal needs. I would recommend to others.

the facility is not fancy, but clean and has extremely caring staff. Lovely staff at all levels. The food is very basic and does not have a fancy presentation. I would definitely recommend Heritage Care of Conover. I am never worried about my mother when she was there, and they did a great job through Covid.

I like Heritage Care of Richlands because it's not a sprawling nursing home. It holds about 40 residents only. I feel my dad gets a lot of attention and care. Also, it's close to my house so I can visit him often. The staff is caring.

They really care about their residents. They even go shopping for residents when they can't go out for themselves. They are are very caring peolpe. Outdoor space is pretty good. The food is good and they take requests.The rooms are good size.

Working with A Place for Mom was very helpful. They were very understanding of our situation and not only provided several qualified locations to view but also provided comfort as well as making other suggestions to assist us during this difficult, emotional and complexed time. Thank you

I can not say enough about how great this community is. The staff are super nice and they encourage my loved one to be social. The other residents are nice. The community has nice sitting areas as well as two porches around the outside of the building for the residents to sit. The food is good and they always have it available for the residents. They are accommodating when it comes to making sure each resident has food they like. The community is good price for the services you receive. I feel comfortable with him there as I know they are taking good care of him. I would recommend this community.

Well they do a good job of seeing that the patients are well fed and taken care of. I do think they could maybe do a better job of mingling among the residents in the living room. When I'm there I hear quarreling among them and if there was someone there maybe that wouldn't happen. Maybe someone who works there could be in that area more. But otherwise i'm pleased with what I see there. My sister is happy there.

they are doing great with my loved one. We have no problems at all. I have never seen anything dirty or out of the way. They take good care of the patients and the patients rooms to make sure that they are cared for. They are extremely friendly here and we can call day or night to speak with my mother in law and they never have a problem with it. They make sure that the residents eat well and have balanced meals. They have holiday activities and just had an Easter party for the residents.

I would recommend lighthouse Village to others looking for assisted living.

It was a very good placement. My son who lives there, he doesn't require a lot of care. He takes care of himself. If it was someone who was bedridden I couldn't judge that, but for him, I'd tell people it was a very good placement.

The main selling point for us was how close the facility is to where all of his children live so that we could visit often. All of the staff have been super friendly and helpful. We would recommend The Heritage of Sugar Mountain to others.

Our families experience was for only about two weeks before our loved one pased, but the staff members we encountered were very friendly. The location of the community is probably our number one factor for choosing this community. Unfortunately, our loved one was not able to participate in any activities because he had to quarantine in his room for his stay.
