went and toured the property I did not realize you had to click schedule tour so they did not know I was coming They were very nice and took me on a tour it is a small facility clean conisting of one major hallway and pleasant reminded me alot of a nursing home The have private and semi private rooms I did not eat but food looked nutricous Spoke to some residents they seemed pleased with the place. It had two sitting rooms and their board showed activities every day, Parking was small and somewhat flooding in placed hard rain last night. Somewhat of a long drive down the road outside the downtown area. Had a family atmosphere I rated it good because it is an older building and because of the parking. But overall it is closer to fabulous and someone who has some memory loss and wants and needs someone to cook for them or needs help with bathing feeding and etc it is especially good. The rooms were clean neat and looked cozy

Overall our experience with Heritage Care of Richlands has been a good one. We had a bit of a rocky start with them, but after we got that all worked out and things settled down we've been very impressed with the care and service they provide.

Both Heritage Care of Richlands and Lighthouse Village are owned by the same people if I remember correctly. Both places are scary, I would not consider putting my relatives in any one of those places, they are not suitable for what we needed.

The beginning is great, but keep an eye on your loved one.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone at this time. my brother has been there for a while now and I know for a fact that patients are being ripped off of their monthly allowance if they get it at all. the administrator sells cigarettes to patients (I presume at a profit or why else would she do it) Every time I visit they all seem to busy to speak to a family member and it is impossible to talk to the Doctor that visits weekly I have his Medical POA and I can't even get a statement on the medications he is on. no I would not recommend anyone at this time to go to this facility. I have never been told of the below Cost per Month, so how can I answer that question?

The manager who also lives on the property steals the patients medicine for profit and to come up with bail money to get boyfriends out of prison She’s also horrible to her employees and the residents

My 80-year-old mother with severe cognitive issues was a resident in this facility just under a year. A staff member threatened her and the administrator assured me that she would be dismissed and that I would receive a email confirming the employee’s dismissal. I have never received an email and do not know if she was ever dismissed. In another incident a staff member asked to borrow money and would not take no for an answer. My mother no longer lives at this facility!

This place terrible. As soon as we walked in we knew there was no way we were going to bring our mom here. It wreaked of urine they didn't even have bathing in their rooms instead their was one common bathing room for all the residents. It was very dirty and when I asked to use the bathroom in the main lo by area they had to unlock the door to let me use it. Never in a million years.

My mom was here for a year, what a nightmare! This is more of an institution than an assisted living facility. The meals are horrible and bare minimum, they do not accommodate diabetic diabetes meals so my mom kidney function suffered tremendously. Money was stolen, food was stolen, and on occasion she would go a week or more without being bathed. check, check and double check before your leave your loved ones!

Visited this facility and was unimpressed. Staff ignored patients. Did not know answered to some questions that were very important to us

Heritage is not an accurate representation of communities A Place For Mom advertises.It was referred to us by APFM. When I walked in I felt like I was in a flop house. It was so BAD. A nurse showed us around and I wouldn't let any of the nurses there touch me, that's how horrible it was. It reminded me of a rehabilitation center for drug addicts. The building was in extreme rough shape. The experience was horrific. I wouldn't place my worst enemy here. I wouldn't stay here if it was free or they paid me.
