Granville Center has been good. The nurses are good to my loved one and I am happy with the care she is receiving. There isn't really anything they can improve here.

Warren Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Queensbury, NY
4.0 / 5.0

Our experience at Warren Center was brief but they were all very, very nice. We got registered and they brought us down to a nice room that he was staying in. There was a beautiful welcoming card on his dresser and even a goody bag waiting for him. They were all so nice. The place itself is lovely my loved one is just not used to being away from home so this was tough for him. There really are no complaints about our experience. I would definitely recommend Warren Center to a friend.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a complex that houses at least two persons who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. This type of residence provides its residents with around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These nurses offer care for those who cannot properly take care of themselves due to their aging.

Nursing homes are a helpful and easy living choice for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will routinely allow persons 55 and older (a rarity in the realm of senior care).Nursing homes are required to provide medically-related social services, a professionallly directed program of activities, pharmaceutical services, and specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability) to residents. The most frequent mental disease effecting nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their decision making capabilities, and their sense of familiarity with their surroundings, and memory function. Some services come at an extra cost which can include flowers and plants, a private room, unless medically needed, and cosmetic and grooming items. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to have your representative notified about your care, make complaints, spend time with visitors, and to manage your money. Types of amenities and servicesoffered at nursing homes might include home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities), intravenous or nutrition therapy, monitoring of medication, and bill pay.
