We liked the facility so much we ended up choosing to place my aunt there. The place was very clean and had no unpleasant odors. The staff were friendly and engaged with the patients and seemed very patient with them. The facility as well as the bedrooms are well lit, bright and airy with a lot of windows. The food is very good. The grounds are well landscaped so there is a lot of walking room. They do a lot of activities everyday. Overall a very nice facility.... Read more

My rating for each of these categories is 5. The staff of Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center is exceptional. The facility is always clean. My mom's health has declined in the 10 months she's been at MDRC. I am kept well informed of everything that occurs. My mom also has more frequent bouts of incontinence. She is kept clean and dry. I and my family are always welcomed and made to feel at home when we visit. To be honest, I can't think of a better facility. They take excellent care of her and I feel so blessed that I know she is well cared for and that I made the right decision of admitting her to MDRC.

I had a good tour experience with Eddy Memory Care at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center. My only real issue was that my loved one would have gone into skilled nursing and then moved again into a nursing home. I didn't want too many moves for her. I also liked another facilities' atmosphere better.
We have had a great experience with Eddy Memory Care at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center. I got a warm and fuzzy feeling when I walked in for the tour. It always felt comforting during our visits even prior to moving in. What sticks out to us most about this facility is the sense of community that the staff provides for the residents.

They are very clean, thorough, supportive. It's a great community for my Mom. I am secure with her being here and I have no intention of moving her.
Marjorie Doyle is a well run community with a very well run team of employees.
I enjoy living at Marjorie Doyle because there are a lot of activities to participate in. The staff are exceptionally thoughtful and knowledgeable. The community is very clean and has park like grounds to enjoy. There is a nice variety of food to enjoy.
My sister with dementia gets very expert care at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center (MDRC). She is provided with a special diet. The facility is large enough for her to get sufficient exercise. She enjoys the numerous activities that are regularly offered. She also enjoys the professional staff with whom she often interacts. I highly recommend MDRC to anyone seeking excellent loving care for their love one needing such care.

The staff at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center do a wonderful job caring for the members of their Memory Care Community. They treat my brother with dignity, respect and compassion. They look out for his personal and medical needs. They keep me informed about any issues and promptly respond to any concerns that I may have. This includes ALL staff: Housekeeping, food service (the food is great!), maintenance, Nursing, front office staff… everyone! The building and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Knowing that my brother is there gives me peace of mind.

We had been caring for mom and dad for a couple of years when dad passed. Mom could not be left alone. I toured MDRC on a whim and was very impressed and subsequently went back with my siblings to see if they agreed. It was a tough but unanimous decision, especially when her move in day was also the day of the shut down due to the pandemic! A year and a half later, I still have guilt, not one ounce of regret! Mom is very content and well cared for. The staff, from maintenance through administration, has been pleasant, attentive, responsive, caring and supportive every step of the way, every day! I know that mom’s needs will be met with tenderness regardless of her status or mood on any given day. The unselfish comfort, safety and care they provide to mom and the rest of us has given me peace of mind during these difficult times. So grateful to have the MDRC as part of our family!

Over 3 years ago my family conducted a thorough search of Capital District memory care assisted living residences for our 90+ year old Mom. Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center (MDRC) was head-and-shoulders above all others. Mom has been happy, comfortable and safe there ever since. The MDRC team is uniquely skilled at patiently assisting my Mom with all aspects of daily living as independently as possible. The professionalism and genuine warmth of every MDRC team member has always impressed us. MDRC looks and feels like a cozy, comfortable home. They have a bountiful array of entertainment options and social activities. For most day-to-day health care needs those providers come to MDRC. During these troubling pandemic times since early 2020 the MDRC team has done an outstanding job of keeping covid outside looking in. Their proactive stance and highly protective covid prevention protocols have ensured Mom is today healthy and safe. Best of all, our Mom enjoys living at MDRC.

Our family had a virtual tour with the community and our experience was good. We could see pictures on the website, as well as the virtual tour. The video quality was very good.
We chose Eddy Memory Care because they offered a trial respite stay so he could go for a couple weeks and see how he did. The room sizes here were adequate for what he needs. The staff members are always smiling and you can tell that they are genuinely happy. I would highly recommend to others looking.

I entrusted the care of my 90+ year old Mom to the team at the MDRC over 2 years ago. Given that I live 5,000+ miles from Cohoes, NY my selection criteria was robust and thorough. The MDRC leadership is professional and they deeply care for all the residents. During this pandemic they have done a nearly flawless job of keeping covid 19 outside looking in. The employees who care for my Mom day-in and day-out are proficient, vigilant and respectful. They strike the right balance of giving the residents enough room to go about their daily activities, while also being close at hand to ensure their comfort and safety. The monthly activity calendar is jam packed with lots of things for the residents to enjoy. Lastly, the MDRC is a beautiful home-like facility. It does not feel institutional in any way, shape or form.

My mom has been there since last December before the Pandemic. The place seems exceptionally well run and the staff very friendly, They have kept us very informed during these trying times, especially when we could not visit in person. The layout of MDRC is a little different from other places we toured it is divided into 3 pods each with their own kitchen, living rooms and outdoor patio. My moms room is a reasonable size with a big window and came furnished, We are lucky she moved there before the pandemic, the independent living facility she was in would have been unmanageable with her state and no ability to see her in person.
