The Terrace at The Glen at Hiland Meadows in Queensbury, NY
3.8

Friendly staff and warm inviting facility. Dad is happy there. Quickly brought into a group and activities. Very caring and helpful when dad has had any health concern. Although there were other facilities that we also considered this is the one dad chose. He felt most comfortable with the other residents and staff. He also liked the location and having safe places to walk or enjoy the outdoors.

The Landing at Queensbury
4.4

We have had a good experience so far. Mom has a lot of complaints but that is typical of her and not necessarily a reflection of their quality of service. The one complaint she has which is justified though, is the food. It seems that they are short staffed and the dining experience is unremarkable at best. I would expect better quality meals for the price she is paying. That aside, I would recommend the Landing to anyone.

Equinox Terrace in Manchester Center, VT
5.0

I cannot say enough good things about Equinox Terrace. I brought my mother to Vermont from Massachusetts, and she was at another facility for 10 months. I was displeased (that is an understatement!) with the level of care she was receiving there, and it was obvious that my mother was declining because of lack of stimulation and lack of understanding, so I moved her to Equinox Terrace. Thank goodness I did! What an incredible difference--the skill level of the staff, the quality of every aspect of the place was superior. The executive director recognized my dedication to my mother, who was in hospice care, and permitted me to become a designated caregiver. I will forever be grateful for this time (six weeks before she died), for the ability to care for her, to be understood. This was of inestimable importance, and I am so very, very thankful! The dining experience was a pleasure, the residents were happy (such a change from the dull, doomed atmosphere at the other place, even though the physical building was pleasant enough); the staff was cheerful and helpful. The food was truly top notch, and my mother's vegetarian diet was accommodated. The executive director is brilliant at her job--everything hums along, she updates family members with emails (so important in this time of covid!), maintains an events schedule so residents have something to look forward to... she is capable and responsive, and ensures that the staff is likewise. She has meetings where residents can air their wishes and preferences. It is a place where people are living, not just waiting to shuffle off. I am profoundly thankful for Equinox Terrace, and I will always treasure my mother's and my last weeks together, made possible because of [name removed] and what she's done at ET. Highest, highest praise for her leadership and competence, even during these challenging times.

I highly recommend Adirondack Manor's food! It is very favorable, but always low sodium. It has a wide variety of foods. The Chef, [name removed] is amazing! All food is made with love for the residents.
