This is the best place for my loved one for their needs. The communication with the staff is very good if the family has questions or concerns about our loved one. They provide three balanced meals for the residents each day. The staff nurse is able to assist with medication management, and they even take care of the laundry for my loved one.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a building that houses at least two persons who have no familial relation to the administrator. A nursing home community provides its inhabitants with 24-hour care administered by registered nurses. These nurses provide healthcare services for seniors who cannot care for themselves.

The most common mental issue experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can cloud their decision making capacities, memory function, and and their sense of familiarity. Nursing homes are required to provide a professionallly directed program of activities, room and bed maintenance services, nursing and related services, and medically-related social services to residents. Many occupants of nursing homes might have behavioral issues. These can consist of resisting assistance, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, be treated with respect, form or participate in resident groups, and be free from restraints.
