I like Forest Glen Lodge because it is in nature and has a country feeling. It makes you feel like you are home. The only thing I have an issue with is I like to pay monthly and I am not able to do that. Also the staff need to be a little more consistent, some are good some are bad. Overall I am pretty pleased here.
The communication needs improvement as it is difficult to get accurate information on our family member. It seems very challenging to get answers to our questions - we can't get a bill, find out easily when certain things are scheduled like showers and when she had the last one, or when laundry is done or whether she ate her meals. Also I would recommend a system of wearable alarms that have fall detection if someone falls and isn't able to press their call button. It would also be helpful if check ins could be scheduled for folks who need some regular assistance with toileting.
My loved one is a resident at Trinity Place Assisted Living and most everything has been great for her. The food is her main complaint. As for the move in process, she is still waiting to have the racks in her closet adapted to her clothing needs. I believe there are two long racks, you can't hang dresses properly. When my loved one was hospitalized, I was notified immediately. I would recommend this facility to others.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home provides room and board to two or more individuals who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. This type of complex offers its occupants around-the-clock care by registered nurses. These caregivers provide specialized care for people who are unable to take care of their needs.
This type of community is a helpful and comfy care option for persons 65 years and above, however nursing homes will usually admit individuals 55 and older which is for other senior care types. The most frequent mental issue experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their and their sense of familiarity, memory recall, and decision making capacities. Types of care services and amenities offered at nursing homes can include friendly visitor programs, care coordination and case management, senior centers, and home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities). Nursing homes are required to provide room and bed maintenance services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), dietary services, and nursing and related services to residents. A large number of inhabitants are single women who have smaller social support groups, and almost 50% of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85. A significant number of nursing home inhabitants are persons who have mental or physical disabilities, have incontinence issues, require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, or experience difficulty with hearing and sight.
