They were very friendly and caring-my father enjoyed it while he was there!!! Always willing to answer any questions I had!! We have a great experience there
They have been great. It is a smaller facility so it feels much homier. The staff seems to be very in tune with all of the residents there. They get really personalized care, we really could not be happier. I looked at 4 different places and this one was by far the best and the least the expensive. It has been the perfect fit and I would highly recommend Ocean Meadow to other families looking.
I'm mostly happy with the facility. My mom enjoys the activities, & the staff are all very nice & friendly. The 2 negatives are the food has to be purchased from 1 supplier & the food is very bland & tasteless. The soups have little in them & my mom is used to the very chunky loaded with vegetables, meat & pasta & flavor that I cook. I've eaten there a couple times & even the fresh made Belgian waffles were a disappointment. Residents have spoken to chef in group meetings, but they said they can't make changes. The other negative is I've needed to get in to see my mom for emergencies & overnight desk person wasn't readily available to open locked doors. That is not acceptable. Overall tho, my mom is happy, making friends & enjoying the activities.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is an establishment that offers residence to two or more individuals who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. This type of establishment offers its inhabitants around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These nurses offer personal care, maintenance and other health related services for seniors who cannot take care of themselves.
This type of community is a familiar and comfy living alternative for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually accept persons 55 and older (a rarity in the world of senior care). There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include personal clothing, flowers and plants, and cosmetic and grooming items. Many residents of nursing homes might have behavioral problems, which can consist of resisting assistance, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander. Nursing homes are required to provide specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), dietary services, pharmaceutical services, and nursing and related services to residents. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from discrimination, be free from restraints, get information on services and fees, and have your representative notified about your care. Often times seniors might prefer to live in a nursing home over another type of community due to a physical or mental condition that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their standard of living.
