The Inn on Villa Lane in Napa, CA
4.4

Staff is friendly and caring. The Inn is clean, but they are short staffed (like every other facility). Things like cleaning carpet can be delayed. Communication with family is excellent. The move in process was very good. Facilities helped with any hanging of pictures or installation of mobility aids. They have a chef and the meals are very good. There are always "not on the menu" options if she doesn't care for what's offered. They are looking to hire a couple of key employees who left due to long commutes. They need to fill those spots. My family would recommend the facility. It's not too big. Very much like family.

Rosemont Gardens in San Leandro, CA

Excellent caring staff. Clean place. My Auntie [name removed] is here. I visited from Anaheim California. My auntie Husband just passed away. My auntie looked beautiful and happy. I talked with staff and they were very professional

Nazareth Classic Care of Napa
5.0

My loved one thinks highly of the food. I have talked to the caregivers that assist my loved one. These caregivers call me and inform of anything going on with my loved. I believe the staff is very friendly. The community is taking care of my loved one. I am able to drop in and see my loved one through a window. My loved one always seems to be clean when I visit her at the window.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is an establishment that provides housing to two or more persons who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. A nursing home community offers its residents around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers offer health related services for people who are unable to adequately take care of themselves.

Nursing homes are a familiar and comfortable living option for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will usually allow persons 55 and above (a rarity in the world of senior care). As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to have your representative notified about your care, be free from discrimination, to manage your money, and be treated with respect. Nursing homes are required to provide emergency dental services, medically-related social services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), and room and bed maintenance services to residents. The most common mental condition effecting nursing home residents is dementia, which can cloud their and familiarity, decision making capacities, and memory function. Many residents of nursing homes might have behavioral problems, which can consist of resisting assistance, a tendency to wander, or verbal outbursts. Some services come at an extra cost which can include flowers and plants, personal reading materials, and specially prepared food.
