We chose Vista Prado because of the value for the money and feedback from customers. They have single or double rooms. My mom is in a shared room containing 2 twin beds with a walk-in shower, toilette and sink. It is a nice size shared room with a shared chest drawer.

We were very happy with the care my sister had at Vista Prado and so was she. Unfortunately - because her money ran out - we had to move her to a less expensive private home in May. I would rate Vista Prado a 4 in all your categories. I would certainly recommend it and would have kept her there if we had the funds. All of the staff were very helpful. Wish we could have kept her there longer.

All 5 stars. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The facility itself is also very clean - which was the main thing that made us choose them over other places we looked at. I highly recommend Vista Prado to others.

Although our parents didn't participate, there was always people who were engaged playing games or watching tv. [name removed] and her team were wonderful! They were always kind, responded quickly when the "call bell" was pulled, fed them and called us when they needed to.

We were given Vista Prado as an option for complete elder care from a “Place for Mom”. The Director and her team were amazing! Both mom and dad went into the hospital at the same time a week before Thanksgiving. The Director was instrumental in getting everything orchestrated for them to be moved to Vista in a room together and hospice setup because Kaiser was kicking them out, ON THANKSGIVING!! Why was this so helpful, because both were diagnosed with cancer and mom ‘s prognosis was shocking and she passed a week later. They had been in separate rooms at Kaiser, so in mom’s last days they were able to be together. Unfortunately, the decision was made to move dad and once againthe Director understood the family dynamics and made it easy for us and the new place that was chosen. I would recommend Vista Prado, [name removed] and her team!

The admin staff was incredibly helpful and we were able to get the application and supporting paperwork finished in record time, as I had a deadline to move mom. The tour was great and the staff is so engaged with the residents. When I got there, the maintenance folks were scrubbing down the dining room, which was immaculate to start with, and the activities director was leading an exercise class with what looked like most of the residents. The food is good, as my mom is pretty picky, and the move in was quick and easy... 10 out of 10, would highly recommend.

It's unfortunate that when your love one doesn't qualify for any assistance in making the monthly payments one is at the mercy of a facility they can afford instead of a facility of choice.

I used a Place for Mom to find a place for my sweet husband. Vista Prado was by far the best place. We could not be happier. The staff is extremely attentive to the residents. Staff and residents are always so happy and cheerful. The staff always remembers and greet by name family members even the kitchen staff. I toured so many facilities but none of them rose to the quality of Vista Prado. I only wish it was a bit closer to our home. But it’s a small price to pay for such superior care. Thank you so much to all the staff. You have made this tough time for our family so much easier. By the way, I am a longtime chef, you food is very good. Everything I have had has been very fresh!

Toured and appreciated staff support. Community has a good atmosphere and residents have a nice activities calendar. They really seemed to be enjoying the social activities when I toured. It was nice to see the smiles even if they weren’t actively playing the games.

My loved one has been at Vista Prado for about 5 months. She has been to the ER by ambulance 3 times finding nothing wrong with her, yet when I visit I can see obvious issues like a drooping eye and very swollen ankles that have been ignored. The place is clean and the activities are good. Communication is a problem as there was one week nobody answered the phone there all week. Apparently there was a COVID outbreak and they were short staffed. Well when I finally got through they assured me my loved one was negative only to have her Dr call a couple days later to tell us that was inaccurate and that she was positive for COVID. If I could afford a better place, she'd be in a better place. New management is taking over in November, so hopefully things improve.

My dad and I are very thankful for the amazing, caring staff at Vista Prado. Checking my mom into Vista Prado was a very emotional time for us, but the staff were incredibly supportive. More importantly, they take great care of her. In the last six weeks my dad or I have visited almost everyday and have seen (and sometimes participated in) numerous group activities. It is so great seeing my mom participate in them and talk with others. We feel very fortunate to have found Vista Prado.

The community is a a very well run place I like it there. They are very helpful and they do a job I could never do. I would love to see a weekly or monthly summary, it would be helpful to me. I would like to see a little more interaction with the caregivers. The food is excellent with a lot of variety and it is well prepared. I chose this community because it is fairly close by to my house and it just looked and sounded right.

The staff are very caring individuals. They really make an effort to get to know the resident and their families including everything from special meals to specific needs. I chose the community because it was close to home and offers a continuum of care so that my mother won't have to move again. My mother liked the community from the minute she walked in the door. They had a special welcome sign with her name on it and everyone was coming up to her and saying hello. I would recommend this community.

It was the best memory care place that we could have found for my mom. She was making new friends, having a small church service every Sunday, it was just a fantastic place. The staff was helpful and caring. They would take them on field trips, have live music and social events. They also have “errand runs” that the residents love but I never got to experience it. She had a roommate in a cozy apartment with closets and a private bathroom, and this was exactly what she wanted. She and her roommate could walk throughout the building and out to the beautiful back deck that overlooks a park. We fell in love right away. They showed affection to the residents and it was a lovely environment.

I moved my mother from a town in which she had lived for over 60 years. I was very hesitant as she has dementia and was afraid of making such an abrupt change. She went from a facility where she had her own apartment to a memory unit in that same facility. The cost was astronomical. The first few days were rough as I expected. However, my mother always smells clean and her teeth are brushed which was not true of her prior facility which was $3,000 more a month. She loves going on rides and outings with the group, They keep the rooms locked during the day so everyone has to at least sit in for activities which has really increased her socialization skills. The only downside- I didn't bring her sooner!!!!

A Place for Mom has scored Vista Prado 9.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
