Oak Park Place Menasha has been a great place for my mom. Mom is in the Memory Care area and they really do a nice job. I’d like to specifically call out the Activities staff, they really keep everyone involved, mom really enjoys it there. The facility is very nice, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in need.
Our loved ones so far have not complained about the food and from what we have seen of it, it looks delicious. When we are able to visit we do see some people utilizing the different activities, but with the pandemic the activities are still pretty restricted. We do think the value for cost is great, and the most important thing about this community is the care they show the residents. The care is absolutely a five star.
It's a very typical Assisted living place. Nice size apartments, expensive rent with cheap food served cafeteria style. Standing in line waiting for food, like school kids. The ones that are not mobile wait even longer. I would recommend but with reservations.

Independent living offers a stress-free lifestyle for older adults. Independent living communities don’t provide personal care or supervision, but do offer generally healthy adults opportunities for socialization and hassle-free living. Independent living services often include:
Many seniors may be able to live without assistance, but the financial burden of home ownership might deter them from living an independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a good alternative to this situation. Basic tasks such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent care providers. There are a variety of advantages and expenses to consider while determining an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are included in the plan: move-in fee, housekeeping, parking, laundry, Waiting list deposit, transportation, private phone, and cable TV. The conveniences associated with independent living include game/TV room, golf course, concierge services, restaurant-style dining hall, community activities, transportation, fitness center & swimming pool, and private rental hall.
