The care my mother got from the staff at the residence was outstanding. We were in a situation that we had to get mom into assisted living fast. The team went way above and beyond to accommodate us by getting the room ready including taking work home to get all the necessary paper work done. The room was very spacious compared to other places we toured. It was bright and we were encouraged to decorate to make mom feel at home and within a week of living there, she indeed did refer to it as home. All staff is so courteous and caring. [name removed] was very helpful in guiding us to next steps as mom's health slipped away. The care mom received made our family feel good about her last days and confident that we made the right choice with The Residence. Thank you to all the staff.... Read more

It's a very typical Assisted living place. Nice size apartments, expensive rent with cheap food served cafeteria style. Standing in line waiting for food, like school kids. The ones that are not mobile wait even longer. I would recommend but with reservations.

We recently moved our mother into The Residence. I cannot say enough good things about how much we appreciate the staff, the beautiful/well kept grounds, the whole facility is so beautiful and clean. The staff made the process so easy, [names removed] are wonderful!! ALL of the staff we met were so welcoming and helpful, we know our mother is in good hands. Thank you for all that you do and for making a difficult decision and situation a less stressful one. Would recommend The Residence to anyone!

I picked this community, because of the location, nice room, and distance to dining room. Overall a good experience and my Mom likes it there. I like that they do not separate Residents with dementia from the rest of the Residents. Yes, I would recommend it.

Response from The Residence at Oshkosh
May 25, 2022Hi! Thank you for your positive and constructive feedback! We value our residents and stand behind our work and would like the opportunity to make things better for you.
According to our loved one the quality of the meals are not good, that is one thing this community could work to improve on.

The Waterford is well run for your loved ones, even if your loved one needs additional care. The staff was quick in responding to my questions or concerns about my loved one.

My Grandmother lives here and she loves it! they go above and beyond for her. We are so grateful to them for the care she receives. She loves all the Activities. My only issue would be communication could be improved upon. Overall it has been a great experience for her especially since she was so isolated and depressed before arriving at the Waterford.

Overall, my mom has received great care. Suggestions: Since Covid-19, communication about current systems in place, future system plans (how I can see my mom in a safe environment), Effects from taking my mom to essential appointments - is she quarantined for 7 or 14 days? We were told 7, then care-givers said 14 . . . this was upsetting! Mid-week, it got changed to 7. These communications need regularity and improvement.

The facility is always very clean! During the pandemic, the staff worked so hard to have fun, engaging, positive activities and events. The staff is always so happy, fun, energetic and helpful. The activity department always offers a variety of things to do.

My room is cleaned and tidied everyday to keep me safe. The food here is spectacular! They always offer fruits and vegetables; I can't get over the variety. They always invite me to bingo and exercise class; if i'm not there, they come get me. Everyone is always so nice to me here.

The Waterford is a clean, beautifully decorated facility. Staff are friendly and make sure all residents needs are met. Activities keep all residents active and engaged socially. I'd definitely recommend this facility to anyone interested! Food is also great, with a lot of variety.

It was a very nice place. The food was not the best, but there was plenty of it. The room sizes and layout of the community was good. They had outdoor space for the residents. The staff is very young and all have tattoos.
