Oak Park Place Menasha
5.0

Oak Park Place Menasha has been a great place for my mom. Mom is in the Memory Care area and they really do a nice job. I’d like to specifically call out the Activities staff, they really keep everyone involved, mom really enjoys it there. The facility is very nice, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in need.

The Residence at Oshkosh
3.8

It's a very typical Assisted living place. Nice size apartments, expensive rent with cheap food served cafeteria style. Standing in line waiting for food, like school kids. The ones that are not mobile wait even longer. I would recommend but with reservations.

New Perspective Island Shores in Neenah, WI
5.0

Our experience with Island Shores has been a very good one overall. The facility is clean and well kept, and the person that we worked with, Rebecca, was a huge help throughout the whole process.

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community allows residents the ability to live their active lives while making sure their care requirements have been fulfilled. Food preparation, recreational activities and housekeeping responsibilities are taken care of while you are unencumbered to use your time as you choose. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Within the individual units, residents have access to a private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they prefer. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private care providers. There are a variety of expenditures and advantages to keep in mind when selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are covered in the care plan: laundry, Waiting list deposit, transportation, parking, meals, housekeeping, utilities, and initial assessment fee. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include golf course, fitness center & swimming pool, transportation, restaurant-style dining hall, concierge services, laundry service, security guards, and game/TV room.
