I can only comment about the memory unit. Those girls worked hard to maintain order and keep up. I thought to myself a few times that however much money they are making probably isn't enough. It takes a special person to that job.
N/a when it comes to the meals and dining. Dad is in independent living apartment so makes own meals. The activities are outstanding. Tons of activities for the residents to participate in. The value for cost was more than what we originally planned to spend. But after being there and experiencing all they have to offer I feel it is well worth it. My dad really likes it there. It was a true blessing from God that we went there. Very friendly and helpful people.
I am very happy with the care that my mother is getting at this very nice and home feeling community. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. Many seniors may be able to live without assistance, but the burden of home ownership might deter them from an independent life. Independent Living Communities offer a good solution to this situation. Basic needs such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent caregivers. There are an assortment of expenditures and benefits to consider when selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in your service plan: cable TV, internet access, initial assessment fee, field trips, transportation, meals, Waiting list deposit, and move-in fee. The luxuries that pertain to independent living include beauty salon & barber shop, private rental hall, restaurant-style dining hall, community activities, concierge services, transportation, laundry service, and golf course.
