We all love the staff. The food is good, serving 3 square meals a day, Every Day. I would most definitely recommend this facility to others.

Forest Hills of DC in Washington, DC
4.6

My sister has lived at Forest Hills in the Health Care Center for a while. Before the pandemic, they had wonderful activities as well as great nursing care. In the pandemic they have done an incredible job to keep everyone safe, to figure out ways to have safe activities and/or virtual or safe visitation zones (following CDC guidelines). The staff is working under challenging circumstances and they continue to be kind, patient and deliver high quality care. We are so very grateful my sister can live in such a great facility.

Victory Terrace in Potomac, MD
5.0

Victory Terrace Senior Apartments have been a wonderful experience so far for my mom. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful community with well-kept landscaping in a breathtaking neighborhood. My mom is an active 84 and this lifestyle suits her well. She still enjoys making her own meals. There is an abundance of activities that my mom enjoys participating in, giving her the opportunity to socialize and make new friends. She loves Movie Night every Saturday night, she enjoys getting her hair done weekly, and she takes advantage of the three exercise classes offered per week, all of which are tailored to seniors. They have a visiting podiatrist, a therapy room and a library for the residents to utilize. My mom still has her own car, but they also offer transportation for the residents to go shopping and other outside excursions. I would highly recommend this community to friends and family.

Chantilly, Virginia

Independent Living

For those who would prefer to live primarily without assistance but would like the advantage of having daily tasks and responsibilities handled by professionalls, an Independent Living Community may be the perfect choice. Basic needs such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with independent care providers as desired. There are a number of benefits and expenses to keep in mind when deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are covered in your plan: wellness program, field trips, parking, utilities, laundry, housekeeping, Waiting list deposit, and private phone. The amenities associated with independent living include laundry service, private rental hall, healthcare center, golf course, concierge services, beauty salon & barber shop, community activities, and transportation.
