They are an assisted living community with efficiency style apartments. It's a lot smaller; they have 33 people. They were good, but the transportation was a problem. It seems like everywhere they say that they can accommodate transportation for dialysis, but then when it comes down to it, they can't.

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities offer seniors a handy balance between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with chores. Food preparation, recreational activities and housekeeping responsibilities are taken care of while you are able to use your time as you choose. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always utilize the services of private care providers. There are a number of costs and benefits to consider while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are included in the care plan: Waiting list deposit, move-in fee, cable TV, laundry, initial assessment fee, transportation, utilities, and housekeeping. The conveniences associated with independent living include laundry service, restaurant-style dining hall, community activities, transportation, private rental hall, beauty salon & barber shop, healthcare center, and security guards.
