This facility was so very well organized, so caring and compassionate. A family member was there for skilled nursing/physical rehabilitation. He received the best of care, encouragement and was treated respectfully. The staff was awesome, they answered all questions they kept him comfortable and I felt very safe leaving him in their hands when it was time to leave. Were I ever to be in a situation where I needed the kind of care he did, I would choose Loyalhanna. I feel they went above and beyond and remained cheerful at the same time. I was impressed.
My loved one is doing well since his move to the Westmont Woods. It is defiantly more independent living, and he has a private caregiver that checks on him. They provide meals at a cost, and the community is kept clean.

If you or your loved one desire the convenience of having housekeeping and chores handled while living your life the way you wish, you might want to consider independent living. Basic needs such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they see fit, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies vary between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private care providers. There are a variety of benefits and costs to balance when deciding on an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in the service plan: Waiting list deposit, internet access, move-in fee, transportation, laundry, private phone, housekeeping, and field trips.
