Our Mom lives at Oak Lane and loves it. All the employees are great, caring, helpful and just all around great. She is very well cared for. The facility is well taken care of. Highly recommend to anyone needing to place someone they love.
My dad seems to enjoy living at this community, however mom is still adjusting to living here. Dad has started to participate in some of the activities. I have tried the food and it is good. The staff are encouraging and helpful. The grounds are nice and the community is very clean. I would recommend this community.
Nobody liked the director, residents or staff. They would cringe when his name was mentioned. They gave us a great room, and the facility was wonderful. But they didn't properly assess my loved one and allowed her in independent living when she could not properly care for herself. Had it worked out, I think it would have been great. But as it was, it was a big financial loss for the short time we were there.

Independent Living Communities offer seniors a balance between an opportunity to live an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with housekeeping. Meals, leisure activities and housekeeping chores are handled for you while you are able to use your time as you desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent caregivers. There are a number of expenditures and advantages to consider when determining an independent living community.
