Independent Living
Southern Pines Gracious Living has been a very good place for my mom, small enough that everyone knows each other and greats you when you come in. Staff is curious and helpful when needed. They don't provide nurse care or therapy but have some companies on site that do. I could not be happier with those providers!
For me it wasn't about the money it was about the care that they give to the residents. I would say to go to this community. I tell my wife that when I get older I am going to go here and it was the best place that I looked at. They have activities like religious activities, bingo, yoga, cards, knitting while they hang out and more for the residents to stay busy and active in the community.

If you would like the peace of mind of having housekeeping and chores handled by professionalls while living your life the way you want, you might want to consider an Independent Living Community. Residents can use their free time as they desire while their meals are cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and recreational activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with private care providers as desired. There are a number of expenses and advantages to keep in mind while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the care plan: internet access, transportation, Waiting list deposit, move-in fee, wellness program, meals, parking, and field trips. The luxuries associated with independent living include healthcare center, fitness center & swimming pool, restaurant-style dining hall, golf course, laundry service, concierge services, game/TV room, and community activities.
