The staff at Holiday Stratford are extremely personable and friendly. Housekeeping runs a bit behind sometimes. Communication with our family is on point! The move in was a breeze. The meals are good quality and perfect portions. I have, and will continue to, recommend this facility. I know they've been purchased by another investor, so we're all praying that the staff remains employed! I promise they will not find another manager like [name removed]!
I would give heritage a 5 on all counts. Lots of activities and mom said the food was delicious. One especially nice feature was the small cafe in the lower level that is open for alternative meal choices if you don't care for the dining hall choices or want to eat at a different time of day when the dining room is closed. Also for those who want an independent living lifestyle but need some assistance there is a third party group that can be hired on an a la carte basis, depending on the needs.
Abbotswood at Irving Park has been amazing. The location is very close to the hospitals and grocery stores and doctors offices. All of the staff have been so friendly and you get a great feeling when you walk in. I do think they could provide some more activities for the residents. The meals are amazing, they have a formal dining room and they have an extensive menu you are able to choose from and the quality of food is wonderful. They have been great to work with and we would definitely recommend the facility to others.

Independent Living Communities provide seniors with a handy harmony between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with the maintenance of basic tasks and chores. You or your loved one may use their free time as they desire while their food is prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and recreational activities are scheduled and organized. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way.
