For more information about senior living options
My mom moved into Westchester Village several months ago and she absolutely loves it!! Her apartment is adorable with a kitchen and huge windows! She has a couple of beloved cats that she did not want to leave behind and they are right there with her, usually stretched out in one of those windows watching the birds. The buildings are secure which gives both she and I piece of mind. There is no need to leave the building for church or hairdresser appointments because all buildings connect to the mall where those are housed. If it is too much of a walk to get to the church in the mall they have a little indoor shuttle that pick folks up and brings them back after church. There is lots to do and the staff and residents are all so warm, friendly and helpful! They have their own team of first responders that live right in the building. These folks are just wonderful. Mom is 91 and doesn't hear well, so one of those kind folks checks in with her a couple of times a day just to make sure she is doing o.k. There are pot-luck and covered dish dinners often and let me tell you, there are a lot of great cooks there! For those who don't cook we just pay 5.00 to participate. Gospel music is on Tuesday nights and everyone loves that. It is a great value because utilities are included and special services are al a carte. I would highly recommend Westchester Village to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable, safe, fun and convenient place for themselves or their senior parents.... Read more
