This is a nice community, and my mother in law is doing very well here. They are caring for her and her needs very well. It is a great place with kind people. A place for mom was very helpful during this process. Gail my SLA was amazing and I'am really thankful for her help.

This community is much better than others I've lived in. Staff did great during the pandemic, I felt safe. I would recommend this community to anyone who is looking. I enjoy the dining, social activities, and fireplace.

The Brook of Boyne City

I was extremely nervous about moving my parent into the Boyne City facility from reading the reviews. My Mother has been there for three months now and absolutely loves it!!! They are under new management and are fully staffed with staff that's extremely caring and passionate about caregiving!! And some of the staff are licensed. (They technically don't have to be legally to pass basic meds) the facility is clean very well-kept. My mother absolutely adores the activities, they accommodate all her dietary needs. The staff go above and beyond. If I could live there I would!!! Lol

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community permits residents the chance to live their active lives while guaranteeing their care requirements are met. Daily needs such as meal planning and housekeeping are taken care of, which provides seniors more free time to live active lives as they see fit. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they choose. While policies differ between communities, numerous residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent care providers. There are a number of expenditures and benefits to consider while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are included in your plan: initial assessment fee, move-in fee, parking, meals, housekeeping, field trips, Waiting list deposit, and utilities. The luxuries that pertain to independent living include fitness center & swimming pool, transportation, security guards, beauty salon & barber shop, game/TV room, laundry service, healthcare center, and restaurant-style dining hall.
