This is a nice community, and my mother in law is doing very well here. They are caring for her and her needs very well. It is a great place with kind people. A place for mom was very helpful during this process. Gail my SLA was amazing and I'am really thankful for her help.
This community is much better than others I've lived in. Staff did great during the pandemic, I felt safe. I would recommend this community to anyone who is looking. I enjoy the dining, social activities, and fireplace.
I was extremely nervous about moving my parent into the Boyne City facility from reading the reviews. My Mother has been there for three months now and absolutely loves it!!! They are under new management and are fully staffed with staff that's extremely caring and passionate about caregiving!! And some of the staff are licensed. (They technically don't have to be legally to pass basic meds) the facility is clean very well-kept. My mother absolutely adores the activities, they accommodate all her dietary needs. The staff go above and beyond. If I could live there I would!!! Lol

Independent Living Communities provide individuals with an equilibrium between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with the basic tasks of housekeeping and responsibilities. Daily needs such as the scheduling of social activities and housekeeping are accounted for, which provides occupants more free time to live their lives as they desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies vary between communities, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always utilize the services of private care providers. There are a variety of benefits and costs to consider while selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the plan: private phone, Waiting list deposit, wellness program, move-in fee, transportation, utilities, parking, and housekeeping.
