Staff is really nice. They look out for my mother. Like if she misses a meal, they check in on her. Oh the appt transportation is a pain. It's only available 2 days a week half day. Have to get approval ahead of time. And the they drive you but do not assist into building. When it's a large medical bldg this is difficult for someone in a wheelchair.
Our experience with this community was good, overall it is kept pretty clean. The care services are pretty reliable, the activities were however a little bit weaker. The food at this community was very good, and we really liked the responsiveness of the staff and the availability the memory care unit had
My mom is doing great at The Residence at Melrose Station! The staff are taking very good care of her. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families! It is not cheap but it is worth the money.

Independent Living Communities offer seniors a nice balance between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with chores. Food preparation, recreational activities and housekeeping duties are handled for you while you are free to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of private medical providers, they always have the option. There are an assortment of expenditures and advantages to consider when deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in the plan: internet access, meals, private phone, move-in fee, laundry, housekeeping, cable TV, and field trips. The amenities associated with independent living include private rental hall, concierge services, transportation, community activities, restaurant-style dining hall, laundry service, fitness center & swimming pool, and game/TV room.
