Crescent Place Assisted Living in Shelbyville, KY
3.1

Most people were very friendly, others not so much. Laundry often was not picked up, and/or returned. Same with trash. Cleaning was minimal. Meals were not good. Too salty. Not enough salads, fruit & veggies.

Hometown Manor Assisted Living of Georgetown
5.0

My father in law spent several months at the Home Town Manor in Georgetown Ky in around 2018-2019. [name removed] was very well cared for at Hometown Manor in Georgetown. The staff treated him like family. Hometown Manor kept his favorite treats on hand just for him. He enjoyed the outdoor patio areas with little raised gardens. He was able to have many personal items around him in his private room. He was able to come and go as he was able. He was able to have visitors when ever he liked. He spent much of the week at Hometown manor and weekends at our house.

Independent Living

If you or your loved one want the peace of mind of having housekeeping and chores taken care of while living the way you desire, think about the option of an Independent Living Community. Seniors may use their free time as they wish while their food is cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and recreational activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of independent medical providers, they may always do so. There are an assortment of costs and benefits to balance while choosing an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are included in the service plan: internet access, private phone, field trips, meals, move-in fee, transportation, wellness program, and laundry. The benefits that pertain to independent living include healthcare center, private rental hall, laundry service, transportation, beauty salon & barber shop, fitness center & swimming pool, restaurant-style dining hall, and game/TV room.
