We really like the nursing staff and the manager, our only complaint we have about the place is over the weekends there are no regular staff members. The rooms are nice, and our loved ones thing the food is good.

Senior Star at Villa Ventura in Kansas City, MO
5.0

So far I'm very satisfied with Villa Ventura!!! I'm extremely pleased with [name removed] who set the expectation for the facility!!! She went over and beyond to accommodate getting my mom situated with limited notice. Most of the Interim Home Health staff are great as well. I'm grateful that the facility took appropriate action to keep the residences safe during this pandemic!!! I would recommend Villa Ventura!!!

Anthology of Olathe
4.7

The food is good and appropriate temperature but the residents have to sit and wait for their food way to long. When it comes to the activities they have for the residents there are crafts, history talks, bingo, games, movies, outings, manicures, happy hour, Bible study, church service. We would absolutely recommend Anthology of Olathe to other families based on our experience so far.

Complete guide to independent living

Leawood, Kansas

Independent Living

For seniors who wish to live primarily without assistance but wish for the advantage of having housekeeping maintained by professionalls, an Independent Living Community might be the perfect option. Basic chores such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they choose, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between locations, numerous residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent caregivers. There are an assortment of expenses and benefits to consider while choosing an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in the plan: internet access, private phone, parking, laundry, cable TV, utilities, move-in fee, and field trips. The amenities associated with independent living include laundry service, healthcare center, transportation, concierge services, community activities, game/TV room, beauty salon & barber shop, and private rental hall.
