The Renaissance at Coeur d'Alene in Coeur d’Alene, ID
4.7

The level of care is excellent. The cleanliness of the complex is excellent. Their administrative services could leave a little to be desired as far as the billing. There's issues that have come up with billing, which they told me are related to a new software program they're using. But that's nothing that's insurmountable. I would just say be sure to monitor your bill. They were quick to resolve any issues when I pointed them out. The staff overall are very friendly and professional. This Covid thing has everything up in turmoil, so the ability to visit has been limited, but I'm sure that's going to improve. We had our loved one at a different place that cost more but did not do nearly as good a job, so I feel it's a good value at The Renaissance. It's exactly what we were looking for, and she's very happy here.

North Star in Coeur d'Alene, ID
4.9

Moved my mother to Northstar from Arizona. She has been so much happier. The food has been good, friendships have been made very quickly, and she feels like she's home instead of in an "institution." The staff have been stellar at accommodating her needs. They were very patient while she got used to a new place and let her explore on her own and when she needed assistance with anything, they were there with a smiling face and happy disposition. Absolutely fabulous!

Sapphire at Moran Vista in Spokane, WA
4.4

This place is incredible, really. My experience looking at different facilities was truly eye-opening. The facilities were on par money-wise but were dreary and very institutional. Sapphire at Moran Vista is comfortable and warm feeling. The staff are pretty much all great and very personable. It just felt right from the very first meeting with [Name removed]! She is genuine, knowledgeable, and has been incredibly helpful through intake to the Medicaid process. Title would say, 'Topnotch place for my mom and my family!' Thank you for helping me find this place. Such a relief to know she's being looked after, cared for and assisted here.

Complete guide to independent living

Post Falls, Idaho

Independent Living

For seniors who wish to live primarily without personal care assistance but wish for the advantage of having daily tasks and responsibilities handled by professionalls, an Independent Living Community could be the perfect option. Seniors can use their free time as they wish while their meals are cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and social activities are scheduled and organized. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between communities, numerous residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with private care providers if desired.
