My brother was a resident at Windchime of Chico and everything was great for him. I am so grateful for the care that he received at this facility.
This staff is wonderful. The setting is beautiful. The food is good too. Everyone treats you nicely and friendly! The transportation & shopping is excellent! The swimming pool is so good during the summer time. The technology class is really helpful. Overall it’s a lovely place!
This facility has been pretty adequate. The staff are very friendly. Housekeeping is provided and is pretty thorough, they keep my loved one's room pretty clean. Communication with the family is good. Overall, they're doing their best. One thing I would mention is that I feel like my loved one doesn't get enough activity to keep him busy. They used to take him over to the Assisted Living side to participate in activities, but they haven't been doing that lately. I'm a little bit disappointed with that. I don't have anything to compare to, so I'm not sure if I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

An Independent Living Community allows residents the opportunity to continue to live active lives while making sure their essential needs have been met. Food preparation, recreational activities and housekeeping responsibilities are handled while you are unencumbered to use your time as you choose. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent care providers. There are a variety of advantages and expenditures to keep in mind when determining an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are covered in your service plan: internet access, meals, cable TV, housekeeping, laundry, initial assessment fee, move-in fee, and private phone.
