My sister resides at her home in Plainview and the staff members help my sister connect to community resources. We would absolutely recommend Brookville Home Care to others. They go above and beyond for our loved ones
I actually stopped using Senior Helpers. twice the home health aide came without being scheduled and they charged me for their mistake. It is hard to say we would or would not recommend because I didn't have a problem until I did. Overall it wasn't terrible.
Thanks so much for your hardworking and caring staff. We hired you for special care for my Dads Dementia . In addition, you have been so supportive to my Mother as well. Finally, [name removed] you're a truly wonderful person to work with. Please if you're interested in quality home care, call SYNERGY in Scarsdale.

Lynbrook itself may be a fairly small town, but the surrounding area has plenty of activity. With downtown Manhattan being less than an hour away, you have pretty much every option at your fingertips. Closer to home, however, are plenty of things to do as well. During the summer months, the beach is a major attraction. Long Island has over 100 miles of ocean beach property, and the drive from Lynbrook to the south shore and the ocean is about a half hour or less. Directly south of town is one of the so-called “barrier islands,” home to Atlantic Beach, Jones Beach, and Lido Beach, a group of very popular summertime destinations. Jones Beach is also the site of a large-scale outdoor concert venue, hosting plenty of big name acts every year. Despite its northeastern location, Long Island’s shallow water gets remarkably warm, and the summer weather is reliably hot and sunny.
If you’ve had your fill of the beaches, Nassau County has its fair share of beautiful parks as well. Nearby Hempstead Lake State Park is a 737-acre expanse which includes the county’s largest freshwater lake. The park consists of hiking and bike paths, several fish ponds, shaded picnic areas, and more. In the winter months Hempstead Lake Park even offers ice skating and ice fishing! A short drive away in the town of Oyster Bay on Long Island’s “Gold Coast,” you can find the Planting Fields Arboretum, a world-renowned arboretum and state park which covers over 400 acres and features the historic Coe Hall mansion and museum. Planting Fields also hosts an annual summer concert series, often focusing on jazz. History buffs should take note that a short distance away is Sagamore Hill, the long-term home of former president Theodore Roosevelt, and the “Summer White House” during his time in office. Sagamore Hill now serves as a public museum dedicated to Roosevelt’s life. Remember, if you’re longing for the excitement of the big city, New York is a short train ride away.
Transportation
Lynbrook has a public bus system run by the Nassau Inter-County Express, or NICE. The bus runs throughout the many towns which Nassau County comprises, running 7 days a week from morning till night. The Long Island Rail Road, New York City’s commuter rail system, also services Lynbrook, and operates 7 days a week, from the early morning often into late night hours, to and from New York City as well as other surrounding towns. Both NICE and the LIRR offer discounted fares to seniors and disabled passengers.
