The staff is very nice and they have a lot of social activities. They could improve on checking the residents thoroughly. They give my mom 2 showers a week and they completely miss an infection in her right foot. Unfortunately the infection was so bad they had to cut 3 toes off and part of her foot. I was very very upset. The surgeon said the infection was there for at least a month. That is unacceptable! I thought about taking her somewhere else but my mom is declining and I felt it would be too hard on her.... Read more

Mom came from another state and she's doing very well. The staff is fabulous. They know each individual resident and their individual needs. I appreciate them more each time I visit. It's comforting to know they're taking good care of my mom. It's definitely a two-person job at times, like showering, dressing, and transferring. This facility has a home-like atmosphere and I recommend anyone looking for a comfortable place to check out Your Life of Pensacola.

It was a rip off. Mom was there 3 days and we removed her for inferior care. They did not refund us the $[removed] that we paid. $[removed] for 3 days!! The staff were rude, incompetent, lazy, money grubbing, greedy. Also a very high turnover rate. They had no regard for their patients.

Basically, my loved one came here because she couldn't go back to her original place. She needed rehabilitation. It's also an end of life facility. My only big complaint is that they have lost most of her clothing. Seems it goes to the laundry and even though her name is on everything most clothes never come back.

I would tell friends that there are better options in Pensacola and I would not recommend Inspiritas.

We're very happy with Inspiritas. Mom has adjusted well to her new living situation. Very compassionate and caring team. Very helpful and responsive when I reach out. Would like to see a greater variety of food, such as adding baked potatoes and more variety of food options. Would like to see coffee offered automatically at breakfast instead of only juices. Activities are good but I’d like my mom to be encouraged to participate-the photos I see on FB seem to show the same small group of residents. They do appear to be enjoying themselves, so those that participate are having a good time.

The transportation van was broken and the salon was closed during his 6 week stay. The areas where public is much cleaner than resident areas. There was black mold in the ceiling in the dining area. Staff at front desk more friendly than resident area. Over medicated resulting in falls, incontenence and misbehavior. There are a few resident care techs that try to do a good job, but majority have their nose stuck in their personal phone. I visited facility several times when the care techs did not know where he was located. I h a d to get a care tech to let me out of floor. Two care tech in common room nose in phone. A resident in a wheelchair was leaning forward and would have fallen on her head if i had not yelled at the care giver. The residents did not receive enough food. [name removed] was fed many meals on a saucer or small bowl. He lost 10 lbs 1st week there. They didnt ask if they wanted more food or drinks and when they served the residents proceeded to serve themselves. On one occasion a worker was fixing a go box with more food than was served to 4 people. Some residents did not have an appetite and did not finish their meal. The underserved residents would eat their leftovers. When i was there iIwould bring it to the servers attention and reported it to on duty RN. The lady in charge activities was very nice and helped me with other issues like finding his lost clothes' that were in laundry. Tom seemed to enjoy activities. The management is very lackadaisical. There needs to be more supervision and guidance in resident area.

Attended event recently at Inspiritas and was very impressed by cleanliness, staff, and level of care for the residents. Staff was very kind and made guests feel welcome. So glad to see such a positive place and such positive people thriving. Had a great time and hope to revisit this Inspiritas again.

I know that my loved one needs to be in Memory Care and that she needs the more one on one care, but our experience here hasn't been great so far and she's not getting that one on one care. She's in a wheelchair and their policy is to keep the residents' doors closed, which makes it hard. She's had several falls. They can't keep an eye on her if her door is closed. We were told that the staff has eyes on the residents here 24/7 and that there's a nurse on staff 24/7....neither of those things are true. Not from our experience, anyway. Another issue is the quality of people that they hire. Often when I visit, the staff is sitting around the table on their phones. I definitely feel like the staff needs more training. My loved one often refuses to take her medication. Instead of trying to work with her to get her to take it, they accept her refusal and move on. We've also hired an outside caretaker to come in and check on our loved one and to help her with the things that she needs help with. The caretaker frequently takes our loved one's laundry home and washes it for her because it's not being done by the facility. I'm going to schedule a meeting with the facility to address these concerns. I wouldn't recommend this facility to friends and family who have a loved one that is dependent and needs more one on one care.
I am so glad I took the time to visit Inspiritas of Pensacola. Very impressed by the kindness and service by this community and its people. It is not easy to find a place so welcoming for loved ones with Alzheimer's. We were mostly pleasantly surprised to find how clean and tidy everything was.

This facility is a great fit for dad and his memory care needs. They have a great variety of activities here and he's able to stay active. It's very clean. The food is great, good variety and quality. The residents are served versus buffet style, which we really like. . They give you a choice between two physicians and both are great. We're very happy with his medical care here. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.
A place for Mom made a difficult and sad situation so much easier. The person that helped me not only had answers and questions I never thought of. She was so understanding and heart felt. When we went to check out Inspiritas they made me feel better also. Very understanding about how I was feeling. The place was very clean, we saw the staff interacting with all the residents living there. We checked out several facilities Inspiritas was the only one where the staff was actually interacting with all the residents. My Mom seems to really like it there which is very important.

Inspiritas of Pensacola has the best care staff in Pensacola. I watch as I am there visiting and they are caring, engaging and genuinely love their residents. I have seen such compassion and dedication to the residents and it just makes me so happy that despite having a very difficult job, they continue to show up and care for the residents who depend on them. I also praise the meals they serve. I have joined my loved one many times for meals and family celebrations and the food is always delicious.

I had an amazing experience and was blown away with all the signature programs that they offer. Their dining program was extremely impressive to me. It felt like a fine dining experience and in most other memory care communities you do not see that. I truly can't wait to have another meal with my loved one.

This facility is good. Well kept and clean. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Housekeeping is good, mom's room is always clean. We had a couple of issues with her bathroom being cleaned up after accidents, but that's under control now. Food is pretty good, good variety and quality. Communication with the family is very good. The residents' outdoor area is more secure than some other places, which was important to us. I would recommend them to friends and family.

My grandmother has lived at Inspiritas for 8 months and we absolutely love it there. The care staff is so friendly and welcoming. The meals are fabulous with white table clothes and fresh flowers daily. Their executive chef interacts with the residents and it’s so cute.

This community offers such great services to their memory care residents, especially their Taste of RUI culinary program. Some of the recent meals I have ate have been amazing! I think I found my new favorite mashed potatoes.

A Place for Mom has scored YourLife of Pensacola 7.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
