They value them as people and make sure they have a rewarding life. It's a good way to start a new chapter in life, even if it isn't what you wanted, they try to make it good change.... Read more

As a resident, I must say that the staff is friendly and accommodating. However, we haven't had WiFi for over 33 days and are going into our third day without television access. The activities department needs work. They are geared to the majority of black residents. The food is average at best and they use too much pre-made frozen and eat components to the meals.

They are really friendly and outgoing and even the people that clean know the name of the residents. The lighting in the community is great and there is always something going on for the residents. The places are very clean and the apartment is nice and has plenty room. They have activities like sing a longs, games, cards and more for the residents to do to have a good time. They really encourage the residents to come out of their rooms and participate in activities.

I would tell others that everything is good, except the response by administration. The administration team doesn't call you back after leaving a message for them. The food looks good. Activities are limited due to memory care and I didn't think they were stimulating.

This was a nice tour, but the community had a smell to it.
We toured this community and it was nothing special. The tour was short and I really didn't get a good feel for the community
We toured this community and the tour was great. They gave us lots of info and several options. The community is an older facility and just didnt fit our needs.
I was not happy with this community, I would not recommend this facility to others.

Medications were not given on time. They do not have enough staff there to care for the residents they have. The social worker was great. They said they would take residents to appointments and they would cancel the day of, so you had to wait months for a new appointment. The food was not good, they would serve corn dogs and soda for breakfast.

They were very accommodating. They tried to work with us but it didn't work out. My dad thought the food was okay. The room sizes were okay. My dad needed more care then they could provide. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Do not move here. It is really hard to find good health care. They do not have a quality staff. They are not friendly or helpful. The staff is lazy. No one is accountable for anything, they blame each other when things happen. The food decent. The administration does not get back to you. The social worker is wonderful. The front desk staff is excellent. The maintenance staff is good. The rooms are not kept clean.

This was our first scheduled appointment but no one showed up and the receptionist wasn’t expecting an appointment that day so we were unexpected guess. The receptionist was wonderful she showed us around the facilities and gave us a tour but she was unable to review pricing and availability with us. We spoke with a few of the residents there and they seemed happy there.

Woodside turned out to be a great choice for my 92 year old dad. He is adjusting to his new space and making new friends.

Thanks for steering us to Woodside. The staff is very friendly and very helpful getting [name removed] settled in. She quickly made friends and enjoys the meals. She attends the Saturday evening church services and bingo. The staff does a great job keeping her unit clean and she appreciates having her laundry done each week. It is a comfort knowing that the medical staff checks up on her. We appreciate knowing that she no longer is fearful of her environment.

Woodside is in a lovely setting with a nice selection of living arrangements/apartments. Having units all on one level is easy for residents to get around. A few areas I think they can improve on are: >training of care assistants and >more variety of activities including appropriate exercise programs wiith better marketing to residents.

Overall Woodside is a respectable facility. compared to other locations it appears a littles shop worn...needs care and updating..particularly its outward appearance. The overall help is good ..with exceptions at the front desk..when you need assistance...However even 3 of the 4 employees were more then willing to answer questions and help out.

Too secluded for our liking. Had a moldy smell. Staff was not friendly at all. Very outdated for the price. Medicaid was the last resort to afford this and we were guided to in that direction. This will not be our choice.

[Name removed], the activities director, gave us a nice tour. She greeted every resident we passed by name and knew a great deal about what the facility offered. When we arrived, a singer was serenading a very happy packed room. We were impressed with the many activities there for the residents. This place was extremely reasonable and also accepts a Medicaid waiver. We would feel very comfortable having our parents live there.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The staff was nice and helpful. The community was small and we wanted something a little bigger. They offer a lot for the residents. The menu was appealing and the activities were keeping her busy. We would recommend that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one for the nice care and the value of a loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Woodside Senior Living 3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
