I went to visit a friend who recently moved into Viva Memory Care in Dresher. The staff went out of their way to make me feel right at home while I visited my friend. The staff was so kind and caring and overly friendly, It was comforting to know that my lifelong friend was in a clean and safe environment and in good hands!

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! Their new ED [name removed] is a liar, manipulator, and treats staff horribly. It was a gut wrenching feeling to know she lied to my family, and all the other family’s and staff when she first came. I’ve heard her talk to her staff in front of other residents and staff and she treats them horribly. They have scabies throughout the building. The med techs are also very rude and nasty!! Get your loved one out of here fast!! If I could rate it a negative star I would!!

My aunt is in the facility and she seems very happy there when I went to visit her, her room looked nice and neat and clean the area that I had a walk-through to her room seemed very nice and organized. I did see some nurses at the station, but my aunt seems to be very happy there. She just moved in not too long ago so another review to come in six months

August 29, 2024Thank you for the review. It is nice to hear your Aunt is happy at Woodland Creek at Dresher. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for any questions or concerns.
The staff changeover was to frequent and employees that were originally there were great. Clothes were missing and he was wearing other people's clothes at times when we went in. Lost 2 pairs of prescription glasses while he was there. For his one year anniversary they upped his cost by [fee removed]. When we first placed my father there we enjoyed the staff and amenities. When a new company came in almost everyone that was there had been replaced or left. We are glad to have my father out of that facility.

Outside looks lovely, inside is a nightmare. Smells like urine, staff members don't care about anything besides getting a pay check. Med tech found sleeping at nurses stations while all residents were walking around without shoes or walkers. Everyone always looks dirty and unkept. Too many things I can not unsee. Open wounds not being cared for. Do not put your loved one here.
Complete incompetence is an understatement. Nurse is clueless and has no control over her team. Promises made all promises broken. Smells like urine all the time. Food is gross. Staff spend all their time on their phones. no communication about loved ones

A friend of mines relative lives/lived at Woodland Creek. This community has had some turn over in staff and has new ownership. With the new ownership was hoping for positive changes haven’t seen any yet. Food is subpar at best. Some caregivers are amazing and really care other sit on their phones and some can never been found. Not sure if issues are addressed timely and if they are actually addressed. Seems more like things are said to be handled but nothing ever changes. Would not recommend this community.

I would recommend your facility. The only negative I have in mind is that there was a period with a lot of turnover. Too many employees were living in the same period for whatever reason.

The food was the only area that was good. When we looked at the facility, they had far less patients. They were understaffed. It was very disappointing.

As of right now Mom is doing well there. The transitions was difficult but she has adjusted. Her medical needs are being met to the best of my knowledge and she has friends there too.
A bit understaffed and concerns on how many staff members have left over past 6 months due to management. The executive director is not always honest on facility issues. The remaining staff are lovely. Concerns that no RN is there in the evening. Only Med techs.

My loved one is currently a resident at Woodland Creek Transitional Memory Care Community and her experience at this facility has been just okay. However, we have a few concerns. The meals are not sufficient. Soup alone is not enough for dinner. Also, the care team doesn't do personal hygiene with the residents. Lastly, the activities are only for selected residents.

Our family had an in person tour with Woodland Creek Transitional Assisted Living community and it was nice but it reminded me too much like a nursing home and didn't want that for my mom. I wanted more of an apartment feel.
For my Woodland Creek tour: The facility is beautiful and the staff was very nice and very helpful. However, I saw too many people congregating around the nurses station just hanging out for my comfort level. That said, this might have been my second choice if the first didn't work out.
1. While most of the staff is kind, I don't they often utilize proven methods of dealing with dementia patients. Maybe more training is required. 2. Never saw the 'Sensory Spa' for agitated patients being used. It was always locked. 3. They keep everyone at the nurses station, and seem helpless to successfully control combative behavior. 4.They will lose all your loved one's clothing and shoes, maybe even if labeled. Better to take them home and launder yourself.

I would tell others to certainly come and visit Woodland Creek. The staff is knowledgeable and care for patients with memory care issues. Mom's room is always clean, and mom is happy. There is plenty of staff in all areas available to address mom's needs.

There has been a multitude of staff turn over including the director and the chef as well as others in less than 9 months we've been there- let alone basically lied to regarding the "brain friendly" diets! Very disappointed with the facility especially for her cost.
