Woodbridge was my first choice due to the excellent staff and accommodations and services that they offer. My Aunt 81 yrs old who lives out of state was very impressed and said I did very well finding Woodbridge and that it was one of the nicest she has ever seen.... Read more

Wonderful people, the community is clean and inviting, scheduling another visit with my brother, but as far as I am concerned mom will love this place. Oh and the food was very appealing and delicious!

It was a huge initial adjustment for both my family and my mom. The care she gets is great. The referrals i.e. psych, wound care etc are great. Admin returns my e-mails. My only issue is the timeliness of direct care staff responding to call bell. I've been w my mom when she has waited 45 min to 1 hr on toilet waiting for someone to clean and change her.

Overall it was not the right for my loved one.
This community was a little more pricey than what I was looking for. Also my loved ones did not want to drive that far to see my other loved one. This was a very informative and good tour at this community.
My mother has been at Woodbridge Place for 3 years. We have had ups and downs throughout that period, but the new leadership team is second to none. The young lady at the front desk is friendly and helpful. Woodbridge has a whole different feel. [name removed] is attentive and returns calls promptly. The new nursing manager is knowledgeable and very calming. It’s so nice to know my mom is able to be out of her room and enjoying musical entertainment, bingo and other happenings with the activity people. I can only hope Mom is around for a number of years to fully experience and take advantage of all the positive things going on. I can sleep more peacefully knowing things Re on the right track.

This place went from and 'A' rating (during Atria tenure) to a 'C-' rating. Problems include lack of staff retention, food quality and options, amount of social activities, social activities boil down to watching movies, lack of exercise, change in accounting procedures, friendliness of management, lack of trips, minimal staffing so as to create extended waits for help, lack of communication with families.

Woodbridge Place was not perfect but the staff really loved and cared for my mother and all the residents as if they were their own. These past 4 months have been horrible. Woodbridge has had two Executive Directors since the previous one left early this year and both have been horrible. The staff is working short and our loved ones is not being cared for as they should... showers are not being completed due to the lack of staff, medications are not be giving on time and the rooms are a mess. I walked into the memory care unit and found one care staff on several visits which is unexpectable. Who ever is overseeing this community needs to be fired. Not only that , all the previous managers left because they couldn't sit back and watch what was happening to this place. I will say the previous managers was kind and loving. You used to get a warm and happy feeling when you walked in the door its been awful. I will be moving my loved out of Woodbridge Place next month!

Food is not appealing-not much taste- 1 or 2 a week. Is senior living but 85% in wheelchairs or bed-ridden on admittance.
I love Woodbridge Place, they were marvelous. My wife was here a short time but they were very attentive and great with her. They were compassionate to my daughter and I as well and they let us come visit whenever we wanted to. The facility is very nice and clean and it is well kept. I have recommended them to several people already, we were so pleased.

You continuously need to advocate for your parent. The communication is not as strong as it should be between staff and family. [name removed] is terrific she is in charge of activities and she is very accommodating to the likes and dislikes of residents . Housekeeping could do a more thorough job with overall cleanliness of the rooms.

Woodbridge has great potential but unfortunately, they take themselves for an independent living facility rather than assisted living. Watch for routine "upping" of care levels with hefty cost increases and no additional care. A few mature aides and medical technicians and other staff display the knowledge and temperament to interact with the elderly and are wonderful. Sadly, there are also immature individuals on staff who lack adequate training or do not have the temperament for a caregiving role. Imagine overhearing an aide say to your aged parent who has requested assistance to stand "NO...I'M NOT DOING THAT. YOU'LL HAVE TO TRY HARDER!!" I cannot recommend Woodbridge at this time. There is a critical need for staff training and in-services, including communicating with the elderly, which may bring the "tender and loving" part of TLC back to this facility.

Pertaining to monthly payments. Pay by check. Do not allow automatic monthly withdrawals. I don't think they are trustworthy with your loved ones money.

Our experience has been wonderful, and during the pandemic we were not able to see our loved one so we relied heavily on their communication which they did a great job with. When our loved one was passing away, they helped our family through the hospice experience which they were wonderful. It is a very nice place, our only issues was with the financial department. We know they were probably impacted with covid and being overwhelmed, but other than that it was a very nice place and we had no complaints.

The assisted living side and the care takers and help our loved one has been getting from certain individuals has been great. However when it comes to the administrative end it is a lot of the right hand not know what the left hand is doing and covid has impacted the community. Our loved one was at the community first for recovery with rehab and unfortunately we just have not really seen any changes, so were not sure if she is getting exactly what we expected. It is a beautiful place, it is like a resort and our loved ones room is always very clean and the staff members are all friendly.

We chose Woodbridge Place because we had seen it before years ago and we were pleased. The concierge service really seems to be on the ball especially when I have called with questions.

I chose Woodbridge Place because it had good ratings from what I found online as well as the location for the family. The room sizes here are adequate for her needs. They seem to be very friendly, but I have not had much interaction since we are not allowed in. Overall, it seems to be a nice place.

A Place for Mom has scored Woodbridge Place Senior Living 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
