The surrounding grove’s greenery is welcomed into the interiors to provide residents with a bright, reinvigorating environment. From assisted living to memory care, the community will accommodate your needs every step of the way. The quality services are designed to make life easier while residents get to remain as independent as they’d like. The caring staff aims to enrich the retirement experience for residents.
First and foremost, Windham Terrace believes in creating a homelike environment for residents. The compassionate staff fosters an engaging environment to help residents connect with one another and the care team. Whether they’re enjoying a gourmet meal in the elegant dining room, reading a book in the cozy library, or simply relaxing by the warm fireplace, residents are encouraged to accompany each other while doing so. Other shared spaces residents can help themselves to include the country kitchen, sunroom, movie theater, whirlpool bath, and salon/barbershop. My cousin is 89 and needed to move to memory care. She has some difficult behaviors but with the good staff she has acclimated and is doing very well. The place is pretty and clean and staff seem terrific. The food seems good and nutritious. There are activities she enjoys and a pretty garden attached. All good.

The meals have improved, but there could more activities on the weekends. The staff members are friendly, they are responsive to feedback and [name removed] thr new director is awesome. The community is also clean. We would recommend this community to other families.

My mother is much better off at Windham Terrace The care and food are much better. Windham's director has been there for 24 years, Business Manager, 19 years; Resident Health Director, 14 years; etc. And, the rest of the employees seem happy there, which results in better care for my mother.

The community is able to assist my loved one with hygiene, bathing, and medication management. The staff are very good towards the family and really care for the residents. The community is very nice. The staff and aides are very courteous to each other. The food is pretty good for the residents. It looks appetizing. The monthly fee includes, laundry, additional care, medication, meals, housekeeping, and mind assistance program, that is all included in the fee. Windham Terrace works well with hospice.

This was a nice community but I felt like there was another community that was a better fit for my loved one and the other community was more cost efficient.
My loved one does not participate in many activities but they do try to get her interested and willing to participate. My loved one does not eat much and does not like to get up early in the mornings. She normally has lunch but does not eat dinner all of the time. The meals are not the best and I do feel like they could have more of a variety of things for the residents to pick from and a wider range for the time that they can come and eat because my loved one does not always want to eat at the same times that they are open. one of the big pluses of this community was that they also have a bathtub instead of a shower. The staff are excellent and the administrators are excellent as well as well as the custodial staff.

Thanks to your wonderful staff for taking such good care of my friends parents. This is truly a caring community that goes above and beyond for their residents. When the pandemic, hit Windham Terrace did everything they could to prevent their residents from getting it. They were able to engage the residents with socializing and activities and made the best of a bad situation, they even had entertainment outside in the summer! The staff could not be more caring and I am so happy that my friends parents are there and when my parents are ready to move, I know where they will go! Thank you.

My mother has been living at Windham Terrace for almost two years. I cannot say enough about this facility. The staff has truly been outstanding from the time I first inquired to today when the nurse director sat down with my mother to tell her that she would be moving to their memory care unit. The residents are treated respectfully, like family. Any issues that we had have always been handled right away. It's not easy when relatives get older and The Windham Terrace has made me feel that my mother is safe, well looked after and happy. Between my daughter working at assisted living facilities and my relatives staying in them, I am very familiar with how these organizations work. This one is exceptional.

We moved my Mom into Windham Terrace 4 months ago and I cannot tell you how grateful we are for the wonderful and loving care they are giving her! My Mom has mid to late stage Alzheimer's disease and requires prompting and moderate supervision. Windham Terrace is gorgeous and her apartment is comfortable and very well maintained. She is in a 2 room corner until with nice windows, a huge closet and room enough for her baby grand piano, which she plays every day. They also allow pets so she was able to bring her two cats ~ a must for us even though we have to be responsible for their care. The staff is amazing ~ kind and caring and, Alicia, the activities director is fabulous and has them doing all kinds of interesting things every day. My mom takes a morning exercise class, painting and line dancing classes, and attends concerts and plays at the beautiful theatre in Manchester as well as other outings. They also bring in musical entertainment every week to the delight of the residents. We are a very "hands on family" and the staff is happy to work with us to make sure my mom is getting the best care possible. Eventually my mom will have to move into the Memory Care section but we will try and keep her in Assisted Living as long as possible. What a relief to find such a great place. We feel very blessed.

Response from Windham Terrace
July 23, 2015Thank you, we're so glad your Mom is happy with us at Windham Terrace. Thanks for mentioning our dedicated, kind and caring staff as we do have the best!
That was a lot of money. That was one of those corporate type hotel places. It's really nice but my dad is put off by that kind of atmosphere. He just wouldn't be comfortable there.

A Place for Mom has scored Windham Terrace 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
