While we were going on vacation, we needed respite care for our 92 year-old father who still lived in his own home. Village Green offered assisted living in a fully furnished room for 7 to 30 days, which was perfect for our needs. All of the staff was wonderful. Unfortunately, it was discovered shortly after dad went to stay there that the progression of his Alzheimer’s had made it too difficult for him to acclimate to such a large housing environment. He had difficulty finding his room and the dining room on his own and needed a higher level of care than assisted living provides. Ultimately, dad stayed there only a week, but the staff went above and beyond to help him out during that time. They also were very clear on the refund for unused days. So while this did not turn out to be a long-term option in our circumstances, I would certainly recommend that people looking for independent and assisted living consider Village Green.... Read more

I will start out with the negative, the rooms could use an upgrade. Beyond that the food was good, the general staff was very good and the nursing was outstanding. My mother deteriorated fairly quickly and when hospice step in the nursing staff really stepped up their game.

My mother lived in Village Green for approximately 13 months before passing on. When we chose this facility it was because of its welcoming atmosphere, security and an adequate apartment that offered lots of light and a closeness to the nurses station. Unfortunately she wasn't able to see it prior to moving in but she was thrilled when walking into her new home for the first time. We were so happy with the immediate connection our mother made with special staff members. This facility was also close to our son's home as well as a few blocks from the nearest hospital. Although making this kind of transition is difficult, I feel that we couldn't have chosen a better choice for our loved one.

My mom doesn't like the food, she says it is bland. Otherwise they are fine.

The staff at this community are nice and helpful. They offer a lot of activities. Mom likes the food and the community seems to be clean. I would recommend this community.

A wonderful surprise! We had a great tour with Lisa and appreciated the layout and choices made in designing the services. All three levels of service are on "campus" and support our goal to keep Roger & Marilyn together. We will be exploring options with Village Green!

Village Green has a superb staff. I have no complaints as far as cost, I think it's very fair for such a lovely place. I'm in the independent living part, and when something goes on they're always there to take care of you. The staff is very well trained, courteous, and very friendly, and I'm a new person, so I really think this was a wonderful place. As far as activities, there's something for everybody and it's just good overall, it's lovely.

They have been very tolerant of my mothers craziness. Since mom has gotten there she has gotten more senile. But they have been very helpful and cooperative in the midst of a difficult adjustment and a rough transition. Every so often there is a little lack of communication.

My mom moved in and she's really doing well. Her physical therapy is right in the building next door, and she loves the therapist. Overall, she's really liking it. The apartment is great! The cottages are awesome as well. She really wanted to move in to the cottages, but she's realizing that the apartment is a great fit. The grounds are awesome as well. There are walking paths everywhere, and it's beautiful!

I would have liked to live there but it was just too big and fancy for my mother. You could have gotten lost! It seemed kind of upity. Just too big.

By far our favorite. The cottage life would be our preference. One of the houses was perfect except for the costs, especially adding in all the utilities that are not included in the cottages. We liked the area as well. We shared an evening with a resident couple who were very sharing about the lifestyle and costs of living there.

A Place for Mom has scored Village Green Senior Living Federal Way 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
