Memory and physical care made better by kind and caring staff. They are currently updating their van with wheelchair straps, but could also use more staff to take residents on 'outside' trips. Overall the cna's and nurses were always nice, but cna's changed almost weekly and always short staffed. I would tell others to visit it (or any facility ) a cpl times before making a decision, make unannounced visits so you can fully see the on goings, spend at least half hour or more and really ask questions, maybe talk to residents. I know everyone's situation is different but it still boils down to having to make the decision on which home would be best, I was very comfortable at vibrant, they were expecting me, but after a few weeks that changed a lot, with unannounced visits

They never cleaned his room. I had several convos with the director on my dad's care and her providers stories were completely different than my dads. They did not provide the level of care that they promised and I had to be on them daily. They never gave him a shower; only sponge baths in 6 weeks. Some staff were super nice and some were lazy and mean.

Cost was good for the the services he needed and safety they provided him. The staff loved him. They were always there for him and us. I did not think there was a huge variety, but he was always ready to eat and was happy. Never complained about the food.

After an assessment at a local dementia hospital, they said they could handle my wife's behavioral issues. They did not follow the medication guideline from The Bronson Lakeview facility and at the end of the first full day sent her to the Bronson ER after an altercation with a poorly trained "med tech". The ER doctor called me and said she was calm and cooperative and they were sending her back. The next morning the facility manage and I found her sitting on the floor because no one had came and helped her get around for the morning . The following morning I found her alone in the dining area trying to find food with her hands because they were not helping and had not given her her glasses to see. I gave my 30 day notice that day. In the three weeks she was there she was showered twice. I was told that I could not do it because of liability. This was their High care level building for severe dementia residents. If your loved one needs help, go elsewhere!

New Friends/Vibrant Life is a laughing joke!! Food isnt available after certain hours. The cook leaves and then nothing. Maybe a gram cracker. Lodge 2 is where my father was. Fell 3 times. Undocumented. Had his neck broken in three places. Left all night on the floor another time. Needed surgery, staff doesn’t have proper care for after hospital stays. Staff isn’t trained for dementia patients. No nurse on staff! Food sucks!! No coffee! No checks on people in their rooms! Don’t put your loved on in that place!!!

The community was comparable to other communities. They did accept Medicaid and this was one of the reasons we chose them. I would recommend this community to others. I was very impressed with their covid plan and they have done a great job keeping the residence.

The rooms they provide for the residents would be about a three out of five. We would not recommend this community to others. They just raised our rates, and they have lost our loved ones hearing aids which we had to pay back.

My mom and I toured here while looking for a place for my dad. Their waiting list was very, very long and just to get on the waiting list was $600. The staff was attentive and polite, the facility looked pretty clean, and whenever someone needed help, their assistance alarm didn’t go off too long. We were shown the activity room and the dining hall and that seemed fine. It was a pretty big room and the level of care was dependent on the resident. But they were almost like cottages; when we went, there were people outside and enjoying the sunshine and that was nice.

I was looking for a place for my mom and New Friends was a clean pleasant facilities, but I didn't feel like there was enough activities for her. Through my search I realized that my mom was more independent than the people in assisted living facilities. I am sure this would be a good place for some.

The staff did an excellent job working with my dad, he could be a handful at times. They worked really hard with him making sure that he would eat and addressed his daily needs as well. The community was very nice and I felt my dad was well taken care of.

New Friends Memory Care & Assisted Living is a wonderful community. The staff goes out of their way to help me with the difficult transitions of when I have to leave my dad and he wants to go home. Recently my dad and I enjoyed listening to musical entertainment that they had come in and it was absolutely wonderful. He enjoys the story time with staff and residents, they keep him involved with their projects and that helps keep him calm when he is engaged. I've dined with my dad and the food is the excellent dad has no complaints. I do wish they had different options if they did not like what was on the menu. It smells wonderful and clean, the environment is very warm and homey. Transportation is available to the residents for shopping and outside excursions, and they always try to get the residents to enjoy the outdoors at least once a day to get some fresh air. I feel very satisfied that we made an excellent choice for my dad in this community.
