I love the fact that they have church & bible study. The people are very friendly. They have a lot of different activities to offer. The janitors are great. My experience with the house keepers , they could do better with the cleaning.

The aids and nursing staff I've interacted with are friendly and patient. The dining room servers are patient with my friend. My friend likes the afternoon activities. And the morning exercise. They keep the common areas nice and there is regular carpet cleaning in those areas. The landscaping outside is always nice looking. I think it's basically all canned food. Not sure about the meats. Both my friends there say the food is not great. For an alternative to what ever they have for dinner one night is hot dogs or baloney sandwiches. Not what I would call quality food for the elderly. I was there for a Christmas dinner last year but I'm sorry I can't remember what they fixed... They don't have a menu to choose from. But they do publish the meals by the week for all three meals I believe. At least for lunch and dinner.

They have worked closely with our family to make sure my mom received the best care possible. Professional staff is excellent, they also use a good therapy service, Caretenders. I wish the caregivers had better training in dealing with people with dementia. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend this community to other families.

My sister is very happy there. Her husband also. Lot of other couples in their situation ( husbands had strokes). The friendly atmosphere is great and was the main reason we decided on The Winfield.

We really like the place. Unfortunately my mom was only there for one week. I did shop around snd liked it the best. We picked this community because it was near my sister's home. Loved the facility, and I live out of town.

Overall the place is nice, clean, and most of the staff are very friendly. My parents are in the assisted living area. I’m pleased with the nursing team. My concerns are that we were promised a certain dietary plan of a fish option daily. This all changed recently. We were told that are parents would have a choice of a dining time. This has changed as well. They have been mandated to a 4:30 dining slot with no exceptions.

They "act" so nice when you go check the place out. Completely cater to you and tell you what you want to hear! Promise you so many things..... Once your loved one moves in and is settled you don't hear back from them. They hardly EVER return your calls. The call buttons are a big JOKE!!! the aides/and some Nurses are ALWAYS sitting in the hallways on their phones. Never held accountable for what they do or DO NOT do with the residents. This place should be shut down or at least investigated by the state!!! The aides and nurses need educated. They do not care about these people and its just plain sad to see. And It doesn't seem like the administrator cares much either. I feel so bad for some of these residents. The only ones that seem to be OK are the independent living residents. I have witnessed so many laying on the floor calling for help in the hallways or their rooms. Its awful! PLEASE do your loved ones a favor and stay away from this place! I wish we would have. :(

We have been very pleased , the staff was very helpful and pleasant . I liked that there was a bedroom and not just one room. My sister ( the resident) was a cook at an assisted living , says that the food is just ok. I would recommend The Winfield at Richmond Heights to others.

Response from The Winfield at Richmond Heights
March 22, 2023Greetings Joan! We're so happy to hear you and your sister are having a great experience at The Winfield at Richmond Heights. Your review made our day! Our whole team works hard to provide excellent care to all the senior we serve at The Winfield. Thanks again!
I could not say enough good things about this facility! My mother has been here for the past 5 years and I don't have a single complaint. All of the staff are phenomenal and the nursing care is the best you'll find anywhere. They have always made sure my mother was thoroughly cared for. They respond very quickly to her pendant/call lights, and are always on top of things. The communication from the facility is outstanding. They offer many different activities to keep the residents entertained and engaged and the food is wonderful! You can tell that ALL the staff from administration to housekeeping really care about the community and their residents. I will never send a loved one anywhere but The Winfield!

Response from The Winfield at Richmond Heights
March 22, 2023Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words regarding The Winfield at Richmond Heights. We appreciate it! The staff works hard to create a homelike environment for everyone. Thank you again!
There is exercise class 7 days a week. It's chair exercises but my friend says it is challenging. There is a shuttle that is available 3 days a week for dr. appointments. I think 2 days a week for predetermined shopping. The activities are fun and she has lots to choose from.

We know that she is safe and well taken care of. Nurses are very good at communicating any issues with medication or health issues. Winfield just felt homier and like the right fit for our mom

Moving mom in and getting her settled, and situated was a fantastic and very smooth process. Overall was extremely quick and great communication from the staff.
Our tour at The Winfield was good. Mainly our choice came down to the price. Their marketing person was really helpful and really put in the time and effort with me. She tried to come down on the price as well. And I thought they were really friendly there.
