There's no perfect facility nor staff, but they try. Your love one may have a hard time adjusting so don't beat yourself up when you are no longer able to be there for them full time'. I would recommend The Manor to others!

The staff is welcoming; they are genuine in their caring about and for you. Occasionally, staff and residents have a day that is not their best.

We toured The Manor during our search for an Assisted Living facility for my loved one. We were not impressed with this facility at all, except for the actual living quarters. The staff was not prepared for walk ins and could not answer questions. Our tour guide was not friendly. The facility was very cold feeling with lots of open, wasted space. It was the very opposite of home and cozy.
You are told so many things on the tour that do not come to pass. The weekend staff is basically non existent even though they say the staff count is the same. I've called on the weekend with no as answer. I've left voice mail with no return call. My family member has a beeper so they can't go out alone. Not once when I've taken them out on the weekend has a staff member showed up at the front door when the beeping was going off to see what was going on. Not once. That is a huge safety concern. Communication is horrible. We were told if your loved one didn't show for a meal that someone would go check on them. That does not happen at all. Have only a few interactions with management and they are rarely pleasant. Bathroom is not cleaned well at all. Go drop in several times at random times before putting your loved ones here.

We did not have a good experience there and moved out after 3 weeks. I felt bad for the folks in assisted living, they did not get the attention they needed. They did not know how to run the townhouses. Maintenance was nearly nonexistent as they had one person doing all maintenance and lawn care. WiFi rarely worked; there had been minimal clean up after construction, so we spent days trying to get the house clean. The food, on a good day was mediocre, most days it was horrid. They'd run out of napkins and flatware by dinner, and on occasion the kitchen staff was late, and we were served cold food. I would not recommend that place to anyone.

The nursing staff is good. [name removed] and [name removed] are great to work with. The facility is perpetually under staffed. The facility director made it clear to us verbally that she would not be available to resolve problems on the weekend. That pretty well sets the tone for the Manor.

The main reason we chose The Manor over other places we looked into initially was because the facility feels more "homey". It felt like like a corporation like some others. The staff have all been extremely friendly and caring. I would recommend The Manor to others.

The other residents are friendly. And there is a camaraderie among the people there. A lot of the caregivers are really friendly and helpful. But they are really unclear about what their role is - what they do and what they don't do. Overall the facility is clean and in pretty good shape, but they're not really good about cleaning the residents' rooms. While the individual caregivers are good, coordination between all of them is terrible. The director doesn't answer emails on the weekend, so I have a low opinion of her. They have had staff turnover, and a lot of things they advertise that they offer, they don't actually do, including some of the activities. They say they do pedicures, and they do not. They have a total of 75 residents, and they say their plan is to bring somebody in to do that one day a month. And sometimes the van for transportation to appointments is not available - most recently they attributed that to repairs needing to be done.

It seems like all the staff are stressed. I don't think anyone there is lazy. They're just understaffed and don't seem to have the time to get around to everything they need to. I understand that everyone is understaffed right now, but they just don't seem to have enough coverage. They've changed chefs recently. The food was really good at first, but now sometimes my loved one can't eat what they serve, nor can the people at her table. Sometimes you can't even tell what it is. And the vegetables seem to be stir fried and greasy. They do have great activities if you choose to participate. And the facility is very clean.

In the beginning everything was going great. Administrative staff is not accessible at this point and there is very little communication happening. Up until a month ago the staff were awesome and the activities were plentiful, but since then it has gone downhill some. There has just been a lot of change going on recently.

I chose this community because the location was right near my Mother’s doctor. This has been a fairly big adjustment and the staff has been great on doing the best they can to make her happy. Unfortunately, over the first weekend she was here, the staff had taken away her pain medication because she didn’t have a written doctor note saying she was allowed to have it. She had to go a full weekend without it and when we told her doctor, he was not happy about the situation. Over the first weekend, I spoke with the nurses and they were very sympathetic and rubbed medicated lotion over her body to help. The nurse really tried her best but I understand that there are rules in place. I would recommend this facility

This place is very nice and [Removed] is great. I appreciated the security by the front door, including in preventing 'wanderers' from leaving the building. They seem committed to a continuum of care which I appreciate, and I love mix of independent/assisted living in one community. I also appreciate 24 /7 nurses and some variety in meals. My only real reservation about this as our choice for mom is the darkness of the apartments. Due to the design there is very little natural light; this, together with dark wood floors and brown wall paint, creates a gloomy gloomy space! The fact that all the rooms are on a single, ground floor with no view doesn't help. My impression: beautiful facility with lovely staff but dark apartments.

We liked this community the best and my sister thought they were the best for my mom. She likes being in Little Rock and it is a nice place and has a lot to offer. I feel the community is doing what they are suppose to do. Since moving in, my mom has been fine and the caregivers have be socializing with her to make her feel comfortable. It is a clean facility with good staff. There are plenty of residents and activities for her to try and to meet with.

When I toured The Manor, I noticed that they did not have a memory care unit, and I needed to find a place with memory care and assisted living. Also, the location was not my first choice. Other than that, the people there were very nice and the tour went great.

My friend placed her mom here...what a nightmare they have been through. Revolving door from management to resident's assistants. Feel bad for any family who has to go through this process of moving a parent but then being in a facility that is clearly mismanaged is even worse.

The manor overall as a community is good. The staff that is there are very friendly and helpful. The Room my loved one is in is very comfortable, large enough for her to walk around in there with her walker. The upkeep is great and the meals are in good portions. They are mainly fried foods or carbs with my loved one doesn't really care for. The main concern with this place is the administration. Since my loved on has been there they have changed about 3 times. The care for my loved one is not consistent. I have spoken with the owner, and director but nothing has seemed to change. As of right now, I don't feel I would recommend them to a friend.

I had planned to put to put my mother into The Manor. She qualified for Medicaid and was on a waiting list. The day before she was to move in, she had to go to the hospital. I was told to go ahead and move in her belongings. I took the time while she was in the hospital to buy new things and decorate the apartment. I had no experience with Medicaid and tried to stay in connect with DHS. Mother was in the hospital for several weeks and I kept in connect with various members of the administration. The week she was to be discharged, I notified the nurse because I felt certain that they would need to know meds, etc. when she was discharged. On the day she was to be discharged, I received a call from the administrator at 10:00 teling me my mother's medicaid had expired and she could not move in. Needless to say, I was very upset. I made many phone calls trying to find some help. I finally got in touch with one of the owners at The Manor. He was very rude and even laughed at me while I was crying. At that point, I was sure I didn't want her to be a resident at the Manor. The next day, I received a call from the administrator telling me that the locks on the door had been changed and that we could only get in to mother's belongings between 8:00 and 5:00.

A Place for Mom has scored The Manor 7.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
