I recently had an opportunity to visit The Legacy at North Augusta and was very impressed with the community. My friend has been there for a few years and enjoys living there very much. I was invited to have lunch and the meal was quite tasty and the service/staff were warm and friendly. I was impressed by the apartment size my friend has and peeked into a couple of other apartments and they are quite large as well. Elaborate, Clean, Bright, Friendly and Welcoming community.

I Lived at The Legacy for Almost 12 Years and I had Very Very Poor Care While I was a Resident! The Last Director was Very Bad As Well As the Last Head Nurse! Poor Training of Staff! I Laid in the Floor 8 Hours 1 Night When My Emergency Pendent Fell Off My Neck and I Couldn't Reach It or My Phone For Help! I Was Only 1 Yard From My Front Door and I Yelled "Help" All Night Long and If Their Aides Had Checked On Other Residents Down the Long Hall Near Mine They Would Have Had to Go Past My Door to Hear Me but They Maybe Didn't Check On Them Either! Another Time I Couldn't Reach My Pendent that Flew Off My Neck in the Bathroom and Laid There Another 4 Hours! Also Wrong Medications Were Held Before I Could Have a Lumbar Myelogram and the Tech at UVA Wanted Me to Give List to this Head Nurse and She Gave It to a Med Tech that I Had to Help for 5 Days To Hold Right Meds As I Was a Medical Transcriptionist!! Meant 2 Trips to UVA as Meds Mix/w dye do Something Bad to My Brain!

A Place for Mom has scored The Legacy at North Augusta 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
