Nice community with great staff

Right when we saw The Landing we liked it very much right away, it is newer and very clean. The staff have been very friendly and polite. We really like the location - it is right in the middle of all of our family so it makes it very easy for everyone to come and visit. She seems really pleased with the meals and dining service, and even though she has not participated in the activities we do think she would really enjoy them. Our only complaint is that it is a little to expensive but also we have nothing to compare it to so it could be reasonably priced. We would recommend The Landing at Winder to other families, it has been a very pleasant experience and she seems very happy.

My best experience with assisted living care

The Landing of Winder is absolutely amazing. We experienced excellent care there. They took charge of nursing and recommended an excellent hospice group, so I couldn't have been more pleased. I've already recommended them to to three people. I've had other relatives in assisted & senior living facilities, and I really believe that The Landing went above and beyond. I was out of town for six months during his stay, but I was able to Facetime with him, and they updated me every week on how he was doing and his care. They were truly, truly very involved in everything and in keeping me advised on what was going on. They are absolutely super and their staff were just great. The Landing of Winder is a fairly new community, but they were able to assist with my loved one's level of care. They also have a sister community in Athens. They couldn't have been more helpful during an emergency situation with his previous rehab center. My loved one's case worker called and said the rehab place would be releasing him that next day. They agreed to keep him for an additional week; and during that time I had him placed and his room furnished within one week, whereas it normally takes 30 days. I was just panicked and they did everything they could to help me. So I have nothing but great things to say. During his stay he began to develop dementia, and The Landing has a ward for memory care. They did not relocate him within facility, even though they did have that separate ward for those with dementia. Because of his physical state, they allowed him to stay in assisted living. It was very helpful not having to move him, I was very impressed. A Place for Mom: was excellent, [name removed], really listened to my needs. I was unsure of what level of care he needed due to his time in rehabilitation and the inability to visit him at his previous community because of Covid. APFM did a super job at recommending placed, checking in on me after tours and with the different communities. That took so much stress off of me at the time. It also allowed me to be able to do the things I needed to do and not worry about my loved one.

A Place Close to My Home to Visit Mom

Everything is going fine. I am assured that my mother is in good hands and being well taken care of and provided for. I was very pleased that on her move-in date when not everything was ready, they set her up in another room and were very accommodating. The staff are very nice and friendly. The care is wonderful. The food is awesome. My mother always tells me she's so busy with activities and things. It is expensive, but it's priced about the same as everywhere else. And the quality of care is good.

Come to Life at The Landing

This has been the best thing we did for our mother. She feels like she is on vacation. They have planting of flowers, assisting other residents, watching movies, helping with cooking, and the parties for the residents. The best thing about the community is they have engaged our mom and she has come to life. Our mother's energy and memory have gotten better over the time she has been here.
