They are absolutely wonderful, caring staff.

They helped my mom in every way we could’ve asked for, I enjoyed interacting with them while she stayed here. [name removed]was very welcoming when we first arrived gave us a great tour! The meals were good size for my mom she never had a bad thing to say. The care staff was always so sweet and goofy when we visited. I will miss coming here and seeing their staff.... Read more

Memory Care

My loved one has been a resident at The Courte Memory Care since [date removed]. It was a difficult transition for him, but with the knowledgeable guidance of [name removed], the Director, & the entire staff, he settled in to become a member of the community. He has always been treated with compassion, kindness, & patience. There are many daily activities & the residents are encouraged to participate. Not only have the activities been enjoyable for him, but they have provided him a sense of purpose within the residence. The staff always has supported him, any special needs, & they support the family as well. I am grateful to [name removed] & the entire staff for providing a safe & nurturing environment for him.

Mom is thriving

My mother has flourished at The Courte. The staff have taken great care of her and, whenever I do a spot visit, seem to be up on her every need. The care of our loved ones is a team effort. We do our best to work closely with the staff to be sure that our wishes are known and my mother's well attended. The team at The Courte has welcomed this. No matter where you put you loved one, I recommend spot visits -- unplanned, that is. I've been very impressed every time I do this. The food is good, the facility is clean. Most important, my mom is smiling again. I won't sugar coat it. It took some time for her to get used to living in a care home. But at The Courte, she's settled in and doing great.

Beware

This place is newer and very clean, however, the care of our family members is what really matters. My father in law has walked out without any staff realizing it, twice, that we know of, within 10 days time. He was missing for hours before anyone contacted us and was found off Sunrise Blvd. the first time and local resident ran into him on the street and realized he had memory issues and called the police. The 2nd time, the police and several family members searched for hours and located him in a vacant field where he laid in the hot sun today for, who knows how long. The Court claims that this is a secure facility and that no one can get out without the alarm going off and staff getting to them before they walk out. Untrue. Unsafe. Unacceptable. I don't recommend this facility.Thank

Debbie, we are truly sorry. We take this matter very seriously. The safety of our residents is our greatest concern and this kind of behavior is, as you said, unacceptable. Right now we are implementing new security features and protocols to ensure the safety of all residents.

A great community

The staff at this community were great when my husband was there. They took really good care of him, recommended hospice and took care of the details. They offer good healthy meals. They tried to keep him as active as they could. They have good follow through. This is a family run community and they offer great care for a great cost. I would highly recommend this community.

A Place for Mom has scored The Courte at Citrus Heights 9.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
