My brother 71 has lived at The Camelot for 9 months now! He truly loves living there! He does have some memory limitations and everyone there is always so good to him! The staff has great entertainment for the residents! It is always clean and kept up! My brother also lives for the 3 home cooked meals they serve there too! This is the best place for him and he is very happy there! I highly recommend this place for your loved ones!

Basically picked for price value. Knowing what I do now about add ons for meals not eaten in dining room, $5 per meal plus delivery charge to take to room; third party caregiver charge with questionable care given, probably would have explored other options for my dad who needed more care. Place was very clean and good amount of space. As with any place I'm sure, there were some exceptional staff and some less so.

They need to check on the people they accept to move in. Health condition, cannot remember where to find her room. Since moving to Camelot I have found a few ups and downs. The servers do the best they can with the working conditions. Mostly the residents have no patience.

The staff at The Camelot have all been very friendly. The apartment sizes are good as are the amenities that are offered. I do think that the food could use some improvement, specifically the quality.

I would recommend Camelot to others- it is a good place that could be better with some minor improvements- new owners are doing a great job. It's nice. We picked this community, because of the location and overall appearance. I like the friendliness and cleanliness of the facility. Sometimes there is no hot water and the water is hard- it affects drinking, bathing, and washing clothes.

We are so disappointed. We had picked The Camelot out of all the places we looked at. The people there were friendly, and were really happy with our choice. They indicated they could care for our love one as a non-mobile resident. So we put down the considerable deposit and were waiting on the doctor to release her. She ended up taking a turn for the worse, and the doctor said there was absolutely no way he could release her to The Camelot since they do offer the skilled nursing care she now needed. When we called The Camelot to let them know, they would not give us the deposit back, which is just unbelievable.

Everything is a 5 star in my book, except for maybe the meals. They're very good but could be improved. However the staff is amazing and my sister is happy there. When it comes to the activities there are art classes by some of the residents, daily walks, live music sometimes, lots of card games going on, movie nights with popcorn. They also have special events for every holiday and sporting events. The library is great, with lots of books and dvd's. There are also weekly bus trip to restaurants in the area for lunch if you want. A beauty parlor on premises which is great. There's probably lots more that I don't know about. My sisters dementia has gotten to the point that she doesn't really do much socially. She's made a few friends and enjoys meeting them for meals.

July 11, 2023Your kind compliments mean the world to our team. It is our pleasure to serve our residents at Holiday The Camelot each and every day. Thanks for sharing your experience!
All 5 stars- The Camelot is a great place. The staff members are wonderful, kind, caring people. I looked at many places and this was by far the best place for any senior. The studio apartment is beautiful! It has a nice patio, with a beautiful view of their orange groves. This is perfect for one person.

In the 9-plus months I have lived here, I have had nothing but positive experiences. I have been both amazed and impressed by the friendliness, as well as professionalism of management and staff. On one or two occasions, I have had minor maintenance issues and these were quickly resolved by both maintenance personnel. The monthly resident meetings are always productive, with management and staff not only briefing us on current events, but answering all our concerns, as well. The meals are usually very good and menus are updated regularly. Finally, and no less important, I have been able to develop some wonderful friendships in the community.

Overall they have been really good. The food has been the biggest complaint. There is no variety on the menu and a lot of it is very bland but I know a lot of people have to go off that diet. I just think they should offer some choices. I would recommend The Camelot. It is a clean, friendly and safe place to be.

Our family had an in person tour and we absolutely loved this community, it seemed like a such a fun place to be but at the time we were looking for a place we needed somewhere that has assisted living and this is only independent living.
All to benefit management - not residents! Noticeable decline since pandemic! Administration - mostly incompetent now! Food services - really lost ground since pandemic! Heavy reliance on pork, carbs, etc. Minimal fish, fresh fruit, etc. Delivery servers didn't wait at door - just system deposit food. Servers good, BAD! Recreation - heavy reliance on residents (not staff) to lead, so low morale & low participation. Lots of photos of activities for corporate benefit, but not for residents.

Dirty carpets, and my visitors always say something about the carpets. Meals are mostly cold. Side doors are closed and makes it difficult when parking under cover.. As far value, I have never shopped other places.

Our tour at The Camelot was great. As far as friendliness goes, they were just as good as the community we chose. But I don’t think The Camelot was as good a value. The apartments were smaller, the price was a little steeper, and they were not offering as much care.

A Place for Mom has scored The Camelot 9.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
