I would tell others to check with family before arranging for the client to keep going 'home' especially when it's obvious that there is some heated disagreement happening! Like over 50% of the drop offs heated argument is heard...I know the clients still have a right to do as they please (to a certain extent)but a health professional or professionals in this line of work with senior citizens we must use our discernment and carefully observe our clients/seniors spas to prevent them from harming themselves or anyone else...because of impaired judgement!

I have so much to say about this place and mostly bad. The place is infested with fleece& ticks especially the orchard where the dogs can walk around. AC units are mostly not working especially during hot summer days and service to fix it would take up to 2-3 weeks, freezer and refrigerator are often broken or the stove.... residents had to eat poorly prepared meals. All main dishes are salty, mostly the same everyday. Hallways smells like nursing home and the worse of it all is that they have residents either Dementia together with well , active people. It creates a lot of frustration, depression and anger feeling between residents. My mom's mental status went down being there because " I see ambulance comes and goes almost everyday. The confused and dementia residents makes me depressed and irritated". Despite of the condition of the place. The staffs especially the office manager was friendly and did what she can.... I guess.

The management at Camelot were great and called me whenever [name removed] had a medical problem. We hired the on site med tech to manage his medications. However, she did not watch him take the meds. [name removed] often missed or spilled his meds causing him to have medical emergencies and frequent trips to the hospital. One needs to be able to manage independently. A very large facility with a limited staff presence. Undergoing a remodel to update the whole facility including the rooms.
If looking for Independent living, living space nice. Inside of facility also well kept and pleasant if a little dated. We did find most of staff very pleasant, but some of questionable integrity.
They get a big time 5! Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Apartment sizes are awesome and they have awesome home care.

Was excited to move my brother here. It’s independent living but was told they have onsite nursing sacs so it’s like assisted living but less expensive and not as much red tape. Unfortunately the care services were VERY POOR! The person assigned to my brother was terrible. When I came to visit, I found pills that she was supposed to make sure he took on the floor. She was caught lying to the wound care nurse about unplugging his wound vac machine. I paid them to make sure he got to the dining room for ea meal & after telling them multiple times not to bring his meals to him, they continued to. My brother’s a diabetic and they know that. I was told up front before moving my brother there, the kitchen would help facilitate healthy meals for him. My brother has limited mental capacity due to diabetes and MS and they know that. However, the kitchen staff, knowing he is diabetic, allowed him to order hot chocolate, chocolate pudding, multiple desserts, etc. cleaning staff bad too! NOT GOOD!

The admin of The Camelot were so incredibly considerate and helpful when I had to find a place for my aunt in hospice. They worked very quickly to help get a room ready. Was very thorough in explaining what our financial responsibility would be and what was included. My aunt loved the food and the atmosphere of the dining room. It was very clean. The healthcare team headed up by [name removed] I can’t say enough good about. Very gentle and attentive with my aunt. It was the perfect place for my aunt.

From the facility to the grounds, the employees work hard to keep things clean and looking nice for all of their residents & visitors. Whether it's the employees of Camelot or the residents, everyone is very friendly... they are like one big family at Camelot. I can only speak on behalf of the care service we use, and each and every one of them is absolutely wonderful!! When there are areas of their services in which they could use a little help, the owner quickly recognizes this and she immediately puts a plan in place to insure she always has satisfied clients and continued success. Almost every staff member at Camelot is absolutely amazing, with the exception of a few rude and lazy ones. Otherwise the rest of the staff is wonderful and always going above and beyond for the residents. Atmosphere is beautiful, but the food lacks flavor. The activities director is wonderful and always looks to include everyone. She usually has a great line-up of planned events, which are always a hit! I tell people.., you may find a place that gets you in for a little less money (at first) but I assure you, it won't feel like HOME the way Camelot does!

Highly recommend. It's really nice to not worry about the care of my aunt. I live in another state & it brings a lot of comfort knowing she lives in a great facility. Great place for assisted care. We picked this community because of the cleanliness, caring staff & meals

The carpet that they have is old and gross, but apparently it is being replaced. You have to hire additional caregivers if needed. Food is great for the most part. Value is good, especially compared to other places.

I went for a tour at the Camelot, to explore housing for my father. [name removed], the sales manager was very helpful. He showed me around the facility. Help me choose the apartment that is right for my father and explained everything about the accommodation and the activities on ground. The Camelot looks like a great building with amazing staff members that could definitely be a part of my father life. Thank you so much [name removed] for taking the time to show me around and answer any question I had, and for the availability, even during non- working hours so we can go ahead and finalize our new living location. Thank you again [name removed] and thank you to the Camelot team.

A Place for Mom has scored The Camelot 9.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
