Refreshing experience

Honestly, My experience with Auberge was so refreshing. The facilities were really inviting and invigorating. My mom had felt really cooped up in her previous memory care facility and complained constantly about not being able to go outside. The layout of Auberge allowed her to go in and out as much as she wanted which made a big difference for her. It was a great experience overall. The nursing staff was also very attentive and kind.

The Auberge at Onion Creek

As Medical Power's of Attorney for a good friend, when he had to move out of his home, we visited many places before picking this one "hands down". All other Memory Care facilities we visited were small, behind locked doors in a regular Assisted Living facility, and depressing. The Auberge at Onion Creek is a large, open, indoor and outdoor space that allows great freedom of movement and variety in experiences for the Residents because the whole facility is locked. The Staff is helpful, very friendly, and the Residents are clean and appear well cared for. The same Chef has been with the facility for sometime, and our friend obviously likes the food because he has gained some weight since moving there. There are on site Physical Therapy services by PTs that go above and beyond, and a Nurse Practitioner for a local Gerontological medical group visits twice a week to evaluate Residents. We receive a call whenever there is any concern about our friend's health or new daily needs. Though not familiar with all the activities, I do know the musical programs are excellent. The last one I attended was a local Country and Western singer who was terrific. Some of the residents were up and dancing. The base rate did go up this year, and a number of the Residents who were there since our friend arrived a year ago have left. We dearly hope that trend does not continue, because this really is a place that should be the model for all other Memory Care facilities.

Staff is very friendly...call residents and visitors by name. Very kind to residents and go along with what they are saying. Nurse has been able to adjust my mom's medication and reevaluate constantly. Lots of activities. Residents have the freedom to move all around the building. It is a great place for memory care.

Review for The Auberge at Onion Creek

My experience with Auberge so far has been superb. My Mother lived for 6.5 years at a different, more expensive, high-end facility and Auberge out scores them on every dimension. I had issues with my mother's other community almost immediately and repeatedly but it was not quite bad enough to move her (until it was, and I finally moved her). I can not tell you enough good things about Auberge. While the facility is focused solely on memory care, the vibe is vibrant the minute you walk in the door. It's clean, and it's engaging.

Completely positive caring community

It has been a wonderful experience and we are so glad on how everything has turned out. Our loved one is completely catered on the exact way she likes it. Our loved one is able to bring her cats in which has been amazing and they are a very pet friendly community. They have a lot of different activities going on. The meals and dining service is restaurant style which we think is great. Overall it has been a life changer - she is safe, we can sleep at night and no longer have to worry,

Fantastic Place for Your Mom

We've had our mom in two other places, and when dealing with those other facilities, it was stressful. We didn't feel like she was getting good care. The Auberge is the exact apposite. I can't say enough good things about them. They communicate with us daily. We have direct numbers to her nurses. They really know her as a person. There were three different people in a care meeting with me recently, and they each knew something different about our mom. She was having a hard time transitioning when she first moved in and was feeling quite lonely. So the girls on her care team volunteered to stay late one day a week to spend time with her. We've never experienced care like that before. It's just an amazing place.

We also understand how every person is different and we like to personalize that care with every resident that comes to our community. We absolutely love your mom! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to care for her.

Do you want the BEST in dedicated Memory Care?

My grandma moved to Onion Creek in December 2016 after my grandfather passed away. The entire team has been so loving and kind to my grandmother. They often tell me how much they enjoy taking care of her. They tell me funny stories that she tells them. I find new items in my grandma's room and she lets me know that the caregivers give her gifts and it makes her feel special. This makes me so happy that they love her as much as I do. My grandma also has her cat and the team play laser with her, keep her food/water filled and clean out her litter box so her room is always fresh. My grandma participates in all the amazing engagements and goes on many purposeful outings to take homemade cookies to the VA, deliver handmade dog beds to the shelter, fill bags of food for the local church ministry, and so much more. My grandma has always enjoyed getting her hair done weekly and that habit didn't change after moving in. She even had the beautician put a splash of purple in her hair for Alzheimer's Walk. If you want the best for your parents or grand parents, move them to The Auberge at Onion Creek! I researched EVERY place and nothing compares to the level of attention she receives here!! From the conscientious leadership to the entire team of associates who ensure my grandma's happiness and health is their priority each day, Thank you!!

A new home for my brother

One year ago i had the very difficult task of moving my bug brother from his beautiful Austin home into memory care. At 65 his dementia had worsened to the point where it was not safe for him to live alone. He was isolated, delusional, angry and would not speak to me. I visited many homes before deciding on The Auberge. Auberge is a beautiful community that specializes in dementia and memory care. They have beautiful gardens with a large outdoor space to walk. Auberge tries to maintain a good quality of life for the residents. Anthony has made many new friends. I’ve settled into a nice routine of speaking with my brother every week. Our conversations have been very enjoyable...as they used to be : ) He is calmer more grounded in reality with very little delusional thinking. I attribute this change to the wonderful community at Auberge. Everyone has been so caring and kind. I believe he feels the love and it has made him happier. (Along with a little help from resperidone ??) We’ve been very fortunate to find the The Auberge community and can’t thank you enough for your help in helping us get [name removed] to a better place. With gratitude [Name removed]

Best memory care facility

This was the most expensive place I looked at out of 6 communities. Even though it was expensive, I could see a lot of pros to their facility. They had a lot of innovative things for memory care. It had 4 wings and each wing was a different stage of memory care. They were also partnered with the University and working with a few different memory programs to help with Alzheimer’s. The care was first class and had a lot of nurses. Everyone was very qualified. This has to be the best facility hands down in terms of memory care. It’s also a very large facility and staff spent a lot of time helping residents find their way. I would highly recommend this facility.

Silverado! A Great Place For Mom!

I went on all recommended tours of memory care locations in my area by APfM. Silverado is all memory care, not broken down in two locations of assisted living and memory care. It is a bright, sensory stimulating, square donut where a large staff attend to my 88 year old mother. After 2 weeks of living there my mother told me it just needs me to move in with her to be perfect. I am still in the mourning stage of having to give the responsibility of her care to someone else. Silverado supports me in my transition with counseling, introducing me to other families going through the same process and lots of hugs from other residents and staff.

Beautiful, friendly, considerate...

Silverado Onion Creek is a beautiful community. The staff are very friendly and considerate. They listen to everything you say and try to answer. What's unique is all of their staff are trained to handle Dementia patients, from the admin to the kitchen staff. They are all very good at it. It is expensive, but that's expected for the care. The food is good, they have a big variety, great dessert. We've been there a few times on family nights. They do a lot of activities, sing-a-long, have groups that come in. Pets are allowed there.

Very nice staff, and love the activities and animals. But the food is not very good. And I wish there were private rooms especially for the residents at the first signs of dementia, especially when they lived in their own home and then had to transition to leaving their home. The cost is very high and insurance doesn't cover anything but health cost. And they told us that she would go on trips, she has been there 3 weeks and has not been on a trip yet. Also they are supposed to make sure she takes a shower and a couple of times when I visited she smelt dirty, and her hair looked dirty as if it had been awhile since she took a shower.

Thank you for recognizing our associates and the amazing care that they provide. Your feedback truly helps us improve and motivates us to continue changing the way people with memory loss are cared for. We find that many of our residents benefit from sharing a double occupancy room and are more likely to remain active and social. We also encourage residents to bring their own furniture, photos and trinkets to make their room feel like home. As of March, we plan to initiate weekly outings and your loved one will be invited to attend all of them. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback.
