Solstice Senior Living at Groton

We feel like our loved one is in a good environment! When it comes to the cleanliness, the service is not often provided even though we pay for it! Our loved one had to be transported to the hospital and his alert system he pays for really worked. Our loved one (and others) complain about many of the meals. They recognize birthdays/veterans/Father's Day etc with a gathering and snack. Rent increases and services (cleaning) decreased.

I'm speaking as an outsider. Going on my mother's opinion. We chose Solstice because of the cleanliness, friendliness of everyone, and cooking her meals, etc. But rent is very high for being understaffed I think. My sister and I have been helping to pay her rent for about a year. They usually seem short-staffed which leads to delays at mealtimes, affects housekeeping, etc. We moved mom in in Nov 2022 and are still unable to get any assistance through Patriot Angels. They ASSURED me before she moved that it would be no problem. Yet we didn't. My mom is moving this month to the retirement section of Complete Care in Groton and will get assistance through the state to pick up the excess that she is not able to pay. My mom made wonderful friends there and would love to stay, but can't afford it now.

The staff are excellent. All departments have been fantastic. They have a variety of activities. The studio apartment is just so-so.

They offer activites daily, and three meals per day. Overall, they were available to meet with me, and answer any questions that I had. They need to improve on their Wi-Fi services. I would recommend to other famlies, because they offer meals, and have activities. It is as accomodating, and as welcoming as it can be. For the price, it's worth what it costs.

You can have peace of mind knowing that your family member is in a place where they'll be taken care of. They're served food three times a day. There's a washer and dryer right outside their door. So you don't have to worry. The apartment is small but perfect for a single person. And my loved one gets along with everybody.

They were great all the way through. I was really pleased that I was able to find something that worked for my loved one that we were able to afford. The apartment was great. They had it repainted and put in a new floor before she moved in. They're updating things regularly and taking care of the facility well. She wasn't able to experience the social aspects as much since she declined and ended up needing assisted living, but that was not on Solstice at all.

Solstice Senior Living basically saved our loved ones life. She is very satisfied with the cleanliness of the community and the staff there are very friendly. With the activities she does get involved in she really enjoys them. Overall she does enjoy the food but she says they do serve a lot of cheese and milk products and that is something our loved one needs to stay away from. Based on our overall experience we would recommend this community to other families.

My mom is very very happy here at Solstice Senior Living and that is the best that I could ask for. She is participating in the activities provided and has had no complaints at all about the food. So far things are going well and we are super pleased with the experience.

The value for the money is excellent. They are pet friendly and can generally give you a ground floor apartment. We also have 5 raised flower bends that residents are able to tend too, it is a big plus. They have so many activities provided, something is going on at all times. The apartment sizes are great. I do think that they need new carpeting in hallways. Meals are suitable and you have a good variety to choose from. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

Our loved one is really enjoying the meals and dining as well as the activities. We were very impressed the minute we walked into this community, it is very pretty and extremely clean. The staff members are very professional and down to earth towards the residents. The elderly residents there are very with it, you can tell they are really enjoying it. Solstice is a very good community and just very impressive.

We chose Solstice Senior Living because I thought the friendliness and follow up from the staff members was great. The price was also a bargain, the facility looked clean and it is in a good area. I think the apartment sizes here are adequate. The food here is good, they do provide a menu with choices to choose from. Overall it is a great place and we have no complaints at all. I would not hesitate putting a family member here.

It's really hard to say because things have been pretty different than they would be normally because of Covid. There haven't been a lot of activities. One thing my loved one didn't like is the size of the apartments - they are very small. And the food wasn't as good as they tried to make it out to be. The vegetables were lousy, and there wasn't a lot of variety for breakfast. The staff seem very caring. They just didn't always have answers for specific questions my loved one had. We liked that everything is all-inclusive. It might have been a different experience if visitors had been able to come and go freely, if more activities were going on, if there had been access to the dining room, including the all-day dining experience they described to us. As it was, it felt more like a nursing home. I understand that was all due to Covid, but we ended up moving to senior apartments.

Last year a loved one came to take a tour. I would recommend you be careful as they tell you things that aren't true. There is no bus or transportation to go to the bank or shopping. There is no bus driver. We wanted to go to a specific town and thought the community would take us and they won't go to the city. The food quality is a problem. We are working on getting the food improved. The just reopened the dining room this weekend. There was only one juice available and it was limited choices of drinks.

I chose Solstice Senior Living because of the value for the money, the location is near my family, and I was able to go to a place that offered independent living not assisted living. The apartment sizes here are adequate, I am on the first floor and have a patio so I can sit outside. I gave the food a 3 because of the quality, the portion sizes are small, and it is cold. Also, what they list is not always what I get. I am concerned about that because I am diabetic. Overall, I am very satisfied with where I am, it is very convenient and other than the food I have no complaints. I would recommend this facility to anybody.

Great Place to stay! Location is close to everything and 15 minutes from the beaches! We couldn't be happier.

Solstice Senior Living is very clean and the staff are wonderful we haven't had any issues. It is definitely worth every penny, it was the least expensive community in our area. They have been very cooperative even with the recent transitions they are going through with some new staff members. With COVID we haven't really been able to see what is going on, however i do get to visit once a week and they do have a very nice library and small projects the residents can work on. The also did outside concerts while the weather was nice.
