I visited six options in my area. Several were what I saw as a good fit. Seasons Courtyard was my choice for several reasons. The intake staff was very attentive. My parents home was flooded by the hurricane so we had to move two weeks early and on very short notice. Seasons furnished an apartment and welcomed my parents in about 48 hour. Super friendly and no extra charge. Ten days later when our furniture arrived, they cleared the apartment and moved us in without a hitch. One for each category. Very disappointed overall. Astoundingly poor assisted living setup. My stepdaughter [name removed] had the business dealings with Seasons but I was local and visited on a more frequent basis. First, the place is a cave. Very few windows in the main lounge area and it was underlit. Second, there wasn't a staff member in sight most of the time unless a nurse was setting up a med pass. Very hard to locate someone if there was a question or problem. Residents stayed mostly in their own rooms so there was very little social interaction going on in the public room. Third, nurses did not observe residents taking their meds when they delivered them. [name removed] would tell them to just leave them and he would take them 'later', which he frequently would not do (lapsing memory and denial working there). I would often find multiple cups of ossified med that had been a solution when put in his room. That should never happen. Then there was the fact that the staff left the door to the lower parking lot propped open so they could go out for smoke breaks without having to be buzzed back in (remember that there were rarely any other staff around to do the buzzing so the wait could be long). Any resident could have walked away at any time. Several were obviously memory-impaired and easily disoriented. [name removed] included. Not good. A couple of the nursing staff were very nice but most displayed a complete lack of training in how to interact with visitors and family members. They do their job but ignore social niceties. Our whole family was very disappointed and appalled at the whole setup. We moved [name removed] out as soon as my stepdaughter could locate a better facility. Seasons is great for independent residents and may have an adequate nursing home facility but falls on its face with assisted living, or at least did when [name removed] was there.

Response from Seasons Courtyard
December 4, 2024We are committed to providing the highest level of care for your loved one, and feedback from family members is crucial in helping us improve. If you are open to sharing more about this situation, we would appreciate the opportunity to discuss it further. Please contact Autumn, our Regional Director of Operations, at afuesz@seniorlifestyle.com Thank you for your honesty and valuable input.
Overall experience was very good, but the person who showed us around, did not quite honestly depict some of the areas and activities that I would be interested in. As a result I have to pay more than I had originally thought. Two weeks after moving in, I fell and shattered a vertebrae and had to go to the ER, which was very poor care. But then I ended up in there skilled nursing building here at Seasons. The care was excellent, but the cost was exorbitant and my insurance paid for nothing. After I returned to my apartment, I was able to sit down and figure money and realized that this was quite a bit more than I should've spent. However, it's a beautiful building and so clean. The apartment is huge. I have plenty of room to bake and cook and was able to bring a lot of my own furniture for the bedroom and living room, which I appreciate. But it is very expensive.

June 3, 2024Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re so proud that you trust us with the care of your loved one.
I am currently a resident at Seasons Courtyard. The receptionists have been great. The sales person who talked me into purchasing made promises that did not happen, which was disappointing. The food is pretty good quality. I've been pleased, but a lot of the other residents think that the food is awful. Overall, I would recommend Seasons Courtyard as an option to others. It could be a great fit for some.

June 7, 2022Thank you for considering our community. Along with personal care, giving our residents an active, uplifting lifestyle is at the heart of what we do. We’re grateful for your review.
My family was very pleased with my mother's stay at Seasons for short term rehab. From the moment she arrived until she was discharged, she was treated with the highest level of professionalism and compassionate care. The facility is nice, clean, and safe with good covid protocol. Her room was lovely and everyone was very accommodating/responsive. All of the staff were very helpful, approachable, knowledgeable, kind, considerate, and went above the call of duty. We appreciated the friendly and hard working housekeeping staff, food staff, and all of the other workers! The food was good/prepared well and extra care was taken to ensure healthy meals with regard to nutrition restrictions. Heartfelt and special thanks to the amazing Therapy Dept., Nursing Staff/Medical Team and the Social Worker! They worked tirelessly to provide the highest level of care; it was absolutely the primary reason for such a great and successful outcome. We would highly recommend Seasons!

February 1, 2022We're thrilled to hear about the positive impact our community is having on your family. The amazing people living and working here truly make it feel like home, one where all our residents can be comfortable, and their families can rely on us to take care of their loved ones. Thank you so much for the positive feedback!
Our loved one does not see the sales team much, but the day to day staff members are so friendly. They recently had to shut down the dining service due to covid, but they did a stellar job delivering the meals to the residents during those two weeks.

February 1, 2022Thank you so much for the great review! We’re glad to be of service.
The staff seem to be very friendly, helpful and attentive. They've done everything they could to make the transition as smooth as possible, especially considering my love done didn't want to move in the first place. All the spaces indoors and out have seemed very well groomed and taken care of. It's just a joy to be there.

It is right for some and not for others. It hasn't been the right fit for my loved one. We are planning on moving my loved one out. The response to the pandemic and the food hasn't been good. The food was delivered to the residents during the quarentine. The residents received cardboard milk, and food that wasn't recongizable by the residents. This has been a big challenge. Some items were a hassle and invasion of space.

We received quite a few photos and videos. This is an option also for short term rehab, we are looking into this option for mom until we can tour in person. [Name removed] has been great!

March 31, 2020Thank you! We like that you have been impressed - even from afar. During this time we're doing out best to help families get a feel for our community, anyway possible. Please let us know if there is anything else you need!
I visited this facility several times. I agree with previous review this place needs a paint job and cleaned carpets-see review from 2017, they still have not freshened up anything. In the assisted area the rooms are small and almost no storage. After interview with nursing manager, we discovered cost for services will include extra fees if your family member uses a walker etc.-although they did not provide or maintain walker in the first place. The check list for services is extensive and will add up quickly for your person to live here. I felt the cost of services were outrageous to start with and would go through the roof as family member would need more help with everyday stuff like bathing and dressing Way too many staff members decided to introduce themselves-was unnecessary and not helpful. One visit there was a horrible "bathroom" smell in the hallway and trash on the floor.

It's a lovely place, My concerns were one the cost, 5% annual increase and it seemed geared to an older population. In 7 years if I could afford it, this would be the pace.

I looked at Seasons while trying to find a place for my loved one, and I thought that the community was nice, if a little worn. They are in the middle of sprucing the place up, repainting the walls, and getting new carpeting. I think the updates will definitely be an improvement.

I met with them and it was just not the place we wanted. It might have been good for someone else. It seemed as if we came at a confusing time. It was in the evening during meal time.

Very comfortable, homey, friendly, clean place. Lots of activities, cute cafe. Reasonably priced, apartment spacious and comfortable. Concerned about lack of well checks on independent living residents. Overall, liked the community.

August 11, 2017Thank you for your wonderful review, we really appreciate the great feedback and glad you enjoyed your visit. I like the care at this staff. The staff are always trying to make things easier on the residents. They offer a good variety of healthy meals. They sometmes need more help with staff so that they are available. I would recommend this community for other families for good care and nice value to other families.

Mom loved her stay at Seasons Courtyard. The staff are nice and they keep the community clean. The food was good. They did not have a medicaid space available so we had to find another community.

A Place for Mom has scored Seasons Courtyard 7.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
