Response from Anthology of Blue Ash
November 5, 2024"Thank you so much for sharing your experience and insights. We understand how quickly care needs can change and the importance of planning for those transitions. Our community is indeed designed to support a range of care levels, and we strive to provide a comfortable, compassionate environment at every stage. We apologize for any concern caused during your father's transition and appreciate your feedback as we continue to enhance our care spaces. For any questions or to discuss specific needs, please feel free to reach out to Russ, our Executive Director, at 513-230-9200. We're here to help."
They offer a good variety of activities. Very pleased. They now also have various church services as well. I would recommend the facility. Nice community with very caring and friendly staff.

The tour that we took of Anthology of Blue Ash was amazing, we were impressed and all of the staff were very friendly. This facility is gorgeous and well decorated. The main areas were always kept clean. The staff were mostly friendly. The meals appeared to be tasty. The facility seems to have little to no knowledge of how to care for patients in memory care with late stage Alzheimer's. The staff was never consistent, which interrupted care. Several times we couldn't find any staff with a key to let us out of the memory care, because all of the staff were from agencies. We have found our loved one's room with dried fecal matter on the couch that had obviously been there for some time. They were ill equipped to deal with basic behaviors that relate to Alzheimer's such as wandering, and confusion. I would not recommend this facility to anyone I know, specifically the memory care side.

Anthology is a newer facility, beautiful inside and out. The shared spaces are well planned and generous. The apartments are nice with adequate space, some with balconies overlooking a fabulous courtyard. Staffing is sometimes an issue, and that ebbs and flows. Their Activities Director is clearly very invested in delivering a great experience for the residents. High quality and plentiful activities are Anthology's strongest attribute, making it easy for residents to be engaged, stimulated, and to meet others. The location is ideal, immediately adjacent to Blue Ash's Summit Park and good restaurants. Being somewhat new, there are still some kinks to work out, but I would recommend Anthology when comparing it to many of its peers.

I would recommend. You have the park outside with all of their activities. Restaurants within walking distance. The facility is trying very hard. They have the same issues as others with retaining good staff. They have monthly meeting to get input from their residents. My loved one chose this community, and because of the location, facility, and they offered Memory Care and Assisted Living.

Meals for independent residents is too bland, to soft, not appetizing. How many ways can you make hamburger? Ask the chef.

Our family had an in person tour with Anthology of Blue Ash, and it felt like a mini city! It was beautiful. Felt more like resort Yes. Definitely for younger that can do a lot of walking. Anyone with walkers might find the elevators and long hallways too much. I know our father didn't care for that. However we are in the country so that would have been a huge change.
We've had a good experience with the facility and the staff. The location is great. There's a park across the street, and lots of places nearby to go eat. The only area for improvement is it seems there has been a turnover in staff, and I don't necessarily understand why. I figure it's just hard to keep people in this line of business. They've told me they're working on it and are trying to bring in some better-quality people. Overall the care, cleanliness, activities, and facility have been wonderful. My wife has really adapted to it, which has been a pleasant surprise. She seems to be very happy there. I see a look of contentment on her that I haven't seen in a long time. They administer her meds on time every day, which removes a big burden from me. It was a hard decision to have to make, but I have no regrets.
The community is new. Many of the "kinks" are not yet worked out. Management has not been able to hire and keep employees in critical positions like the cafeteria. "Skilled care" is limited to a single floor. This may be desirable for some, but is extremely limiting as age and care needs progress. The high "community fee" prevents many from moving frequently or moving at all if budgets are fixed and limited. The facility is beautiful, but look beyond the veneer. Hopefully, they will work things out, but currently there are issues.

it was a brand new facility, and was very impressive. The pricing was expensive, and it was not affordable for my loved one. Overall, it was a great facility.
Response from Anthology of Blue Ash
September 21, 2022Thank you for your review of Anthology of Blue Ash! We are happy you found us and welcome you to share your experience with family and friends.
It's a lovely, beautiful, new facility. I feel that my loved one is safe there, and I don't need to worry about her. The staff are mixed - some are great, and some maybe need a little training / settling in. As a new facility, I feel like there's a learning curve. They're also not at full capacity yet, which affects the amenities. But it has great potential. Everyone is very nice and definitely tries their hardest. The most important thing is I don't worry about my loved one, and I still highly recommend it. I looked at a bunch of places. I thought t was the best after all my tours, and I still feel like it's the best, even compared to other places that were more expensive. I think they can and will improve as everyone they matures into their roles.

The facility has lots of windows and natural light coming in. There is access to the outside where they have bocce ball, a putting course, barbeque grill, etc. It is also surrounded by the park which has its own sets of activities as well. The location is great and it has been a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend Anthology of Blue Ash to others.
